I have been using these wipes for 5-7 years. I bought a pack a few weeks ago and had no idea why my eyes were getting itchy, red, and scratchy. I read other recent reviews and it seems that there was a change of formula. I woke up this morning with swollen eyes and a rash.

I don't like to use makeup wipes as a main form of face cleansing, but in a pinch or on a trip, I like to reach for Neutrogena. The night calming ones remove makeup and general grime smoothly without drying out the skin. I've found that the fragrance (or perhaps another ingredient?) tends to make my eyes water and my face turn red, but this is the case for all other night time/calming facial wipes. They do leave the skin feeling somewhat slick, but it does eventually dry down. After some time the peel stops sticking to the package; I haven't found any makeup wipe that doesn't do this, however, so I'll let it slide. If you have sensitive eyes or skin I would stick with the classic formula.

I really like the Neutrogena Ultra-Soft Makeup Remover Wipes! They remove all my makeup easily, even waterproof mascara, without irritating my skin. I've been using this for a long time and have long trusted the Neutrogena line (from drugstores). They are typically very mindful, more gentle. This wipe is the same. I would buy them in bulk to make sure I got and removed all the pesky mascara off my face… especially after a shower, when you think you've removed it all somehow and it still sticks all over your face anyway!

I have used these wipes for so many years and never had any issue. I do NOT have sensitive skin either. I noticed two months ago that the smell totally changed ( I do not like it and it smells chemical). The wipes are not soft anymore. The big issue is it caused a major skin reaction on myself and on my daughter's face. It burns like I am holding a flame to my skin. My eyes water, tear, and turn red in the corners. I discovered that I cannot even use my other face products after using these wipes because now everything burns that touches my skin. Same exact for my daughter! I have six packages that are going to waste as I wouldn't dare donate them. What the heck was Neutrogena thinking changing their formula and making these new wipes dangerous for skin? I have every intention of calling customer service to report this and already sent an email. Buyer beware!

Just like Maddie12345 I've been using this product for so long and have always loved it. I have even tried other makeup removing products and have always gone back to this one. However, I agree that something in this product must of changed because around May 2018 the wipes started to burn my eyes causing them to water up and get extremely red for days. I would remove my makeup before bed and immediately feel the burning sensation and then they would start to water. This even made it difficult to put on and wear any eye makeup the next few days because my eyes would continue to water and wash it all away and cause redness and itchy eyes. Sadly I will not be buying this product again.

They stay damp without feeling overly soaked, but they can get a bit drying if you rely on them alone, another reason they're a “step zero,” not the main event. The packaging is simple and easy to toss in a bag, and the peel open pack keeps the wipes from drying out. The dispensing is smooth too, no pulling out five at once or fishing around for a corner. Are they perfect? No. Do they count as cleansing? Definitely not. Do they help you get your makeup off quickly and effectively when you need it? Absolutely.

This is the small travel pack. These wipes have always done the job well and then cleansing behind the cleanup. The packaging works fine with this size pack but with bigger packs the stickiness does go away. Would recommend the snap top package. It doesn't irritate my skin at all and I have super sensitive skin. The wipes themself don't fall apart and are strong and they don't leave residue on your face all while doing their job!

These makeup remover wipes have been a staple of our home. I have two girls who dance competitively and this was always the easiest and fastest way to remove their makeup after competition. Great for their young skin and easy to remove mascara without tears!
