Oh my goodness, soooo many beans but that’s what I wanted. My husband loves brown beans and cornbread at least twice a month. This 12lb should accommodated his craving for a while. In addition the price per pound is under a $1 so good value too. I plan on purchasing again, if available when we get low.

Seems silly to leave a review on pinto beans, but in case someone is wondering if the purchase is worth it --- We buy this monthly, and I have been very pleased with how clean the beans are. I rarely have to pick out a bad bean, rocks or dirt. I store them in a large rubbermaid bowl.

I cook a lot of dry beans. We have some grain allergies in our family, so I pour the raw beans out on a white plate in batches and check for random grains and bad beans and such. This 12 pound bag of Members Mark pinto beans was the messiest bag of beans I've ever sorted. There were many ?moldy? beans and even a couple of rocks. I generally buy the 20 pound bag of GV beans from the big W, so it's not like I'm some kind of pinto bean snob. I don't recommend this brand at this time.

Poor-quality in the last bag I got from Sam's. We have been buying these beans for years. We like these beans and were of good quality, but not the last bag we got in June 2018. We used to have 1 or 2 strange looking beans in the 4 cups were cook. This last bag - as you can see in the picture have some very questionable beans. Something that looks like could be rot or mold then dried out, like they are very old beans. (Date code of JUN 12 2019M) I will have to look very closely when I think about buying these again. If they look like this last bag - I will stop buying these.
