Stopped working within a month. Purchased product because it had great reviews. Used it a couple times and worked good, but then it suddenly stopped working and would not power on. Come to find out product has a defective power button that is very flimsy and can break easily. Luckily was able to return it and get a better air fryer.

I’m on my third Power XL. The first one rusted horribly quickly. So I replaced it with a Power XL Vortex and my son knocked it off the stand and it never turned back on so I went back to Sam’s and bought another one. This time the bottom of the basket began to peel within a month and of course it started to rust. It did rusted really bad this time and I can’t even use it. Even the part that holds the food is rusted. I’ve taken great care of this thing but they all rust. It cooks great and that’s why I continued to buy this brand but I’m moving on to a different brand and hopefully it won’t rust like this one do. With the warranty it cost almost as much to send it in as it does to buy a new one. I’m done with power xl brand.

I will admit that I used this fryer a couple times per week but it did not last very long at all. The fryer try and then the pan started peeling and when I called the company, they said it was due to the extreme heat....well isn't it an FRYER and expect to get really hot? Finally it just died on me completely and I am looking into returning it depending on the receipt. I need to see the time frame on the manufacturers warranty.

So excited to buy this very first Air Fryer in our home. My kids adapted to its functions very quickly and soon enough they are using it almost every day. Then one day, it just shut off for no reason, did all the trouble shooting, then it just stopped working altogether. Got a good year from it, but very disappointed that it does not last long enough.

Works great, the tray underside is super sharp (actually sliced my finger while drying it). 8 qt has plenty of room inside for example baking acorn squash halves or scrambled eggs in ramekins, or meatloaf without burning my hands on the sides of the bucket removing them. I was surprised just how quiet this appliance is while cooking, my 5 qt was louder. I put my fryer on a wood cutting board when using to protect my counter top. The fryer gets hot and the fans inside blow out hot air - so be aware of what is near it just for safety.

This air fryer works fabulously....until you inevitable break, dislodge, or lose one of the silicone "feet" that prevent scratching of the non-stick surface as you insert/remove the fry basket. I called PowerXL and the CSR could not find replacement pieces, so he advised that I email them with photos of the parts I need (they are rectangular-ish, approx 1.25" x 0.3" with 2 prongs sticking out of them). Customer Service got back to me quickly...with bad news. PowerXL does not sell the silicone feet as replacement items and recommends that I buy a whole new fry basket...which isn't in stock. Great. We have 3 air fryers (2 are PowerXL 8qts and 1 is a Gourmia), and inevitably the silicone feet come off, get lost, or ruined. The fact that PowerXL does not have replacement pieces for this common occurrence is NOT CUSTOMER FRIENDLY.

We purchased this to replace the PowerXL Vortex 7 qt which I loved, and which I accidentally broke! This is far inferior to it. It takes longer to air fry everything. In the Vortex the temperature could be adjusted in 5 degree increments; in this one, only in 10 degree increments. The display keeps fogging up. But the tray insert is the worst - instead of holes, it has "slot" openings. If I'm air frying vegetables or anything smaller than a piece of chicken, so much falls through to the bottom. The center indentation is huge, which also causes pieces to pool there. On the plus side (which I don't think there's much of) it holds a large quantity, and cleans up well. All in all, not a great purchase.

I love this brand..have been using it for a few years now and decided to buy one for my sister. I got this Air Fryer from Sam's Club thru pickup order today.. so disappointed to find out upon opening that the item has been used..no plastic cover, manuals was crinkled and frood crumbs was in the tray. I will try to order another one but not thru Sam's Club.

Broken pieces after 1use. The tray has small rubber (?) pieces at each corner to protect the basket. They are attached to the tray with rubberized prongs. Will take back next weekend for a replacement. I will update after that. The single use seemed OK. Green beans. The air fryer stayed cool on exterior.

I have had the PowerXL 8-Quart Air Fryer for one year to date. The unit cooked the food just like it was designed to do. No issues with how the unit cooked food and time saved. However, the unit only lasted for one year. The unit just stopped powering on. So, I would stay clear of this product unless you are ready to buy the PowerXL Air Fryer every year.
