I have pets and to guard against the occasional accident, I purchased the mattress protector cover. Before my purchase, I'd occasionally remove the zipped cover from the mattress and wash it. This works fine, but it is a struggle to get on and off. The protector goes on like a fitted sheet- so it's much easier to manage. It protects the top of the mattress from spills and accidents. The sides of the protector appear to be different material, so I don' believe the waterproof protection extends to the sides of the mattress. The protector material feels like soft fabric, and doesn't have a crinkly, plastic feel to it.

I ordered the ghostbed after considering similar options, like casper, and after reading the superior reviews for ghostbed. It was easy to order and was delivered within a few days. The texture of the bed took some getting used to. I agree with other reviewers that this bed is pretty firm and I ended up buying an additional foam mattress topper. With the mattress topper I am sleeping well and waking up without stiffness. Overall I am happy with this purchase.

My boyfriend and I tossed and turned on our old mattress, night after night. We were limited by space and frustrated with finding a comfortable bed that we could get up our stairs. We couldn't be happier! He slept through the first night, and has slept great since. Took me 3 days, and I was sleeping like a baby...wouldn't trade it for the world!! Thank you ghost bed.

At first, I didn't think the mattress would be thick enough for us and our weight. I was very pleasantly surprised. It's a lot firmer and sturdier than I thought. We bought the foundation as well and it was fairly easy to put together. Make sure you have enough space cleared to work though. We love the ghost pillows as well. They are a lot softer than the bed but very comfortable.

Although the bed is decent, my wife and I decided that it just wasn't working for us. When we first tried to return the bed, they told us they would send us a memory foam topper and convinced us to give it a little more time. When we went to return the bed, they said that you actually need to initiate your return by 90 days so that you can use the remaining 11 days in the trial to arrange for the return. If this bed isn't working for you SEND IT BACK QUICKLY!!!

My wife and I were overdue for a new bed since ours was 12 years old and showing it. We shopped at a lot of the mattress stores and were reminded of just how expensive buying a new bed is. I had been following this bed in a box revolution for some time. I have read and viewed many of the reviews of the tidal wave of manufacturers that have popped up, but my wife was reluctant. After months of my refusal to break the bank purchasing a mattress from a big box store she relented and we purchased the ghost bed and received two ghost pillows to boot. The whole experience from it arriving to the door to unboxing and watching it magically decompress was really a unique and fun experience. (Never thought I would say that about getting a new bed...LOL) The bed or pillows did not disappoint, they are firm enough for her and not too firm for me, the quality is great, no annoying smell that people keep reporting and great warranty. Number one though is you made a believer out of your biggest doubter, My Wife!! Thank you Ghost Bed!!!

Laying down, the bed feels fine, though it was taking me much longer to fall asleep. After 6+ hours, I have a sore back, and after 8 hours, I was waking up feeling as if my back and sides had been pummeled. But hey, I rarely have the opportunity to sleep for 8 hours. ;) Giving it another couple of weeks to test out. Most likely, I'll be returning the bed.

At first I wasn't sure if I was going to like it. I was not used to a foam mattress. Once we gave it some well deserved time, I wouldn't want another bed. It's comfortable, you don't feel your partner get up and down too much, and it has decreased my fiancés back pain. Good buy.

No joke, I haven’t slept more than 4-5 hours on average for the past 7-8 years. I’ve had decent mattresses but none that actually made me feel as comfortable and sleep as well as the GhostBed. Now I will happily go to bed earlier just to spend more time on it. Thanks GhostBed and the DB nation!

Ok, so my wife got Ghostbed pillows about 2-3 years ago and loves them just as much today as she did when they came in the mail. We moved and in the process, the movers got gas all over our old mattress. So, went online and ordered a GhostBed mattress. We already had an adjustable base and it works perfectly with it! My wife is a light sleeper and whenever a dog or myself shifted in bed, she'd wake with our old mattress.To test the shock absorption of this one, we let our 7 year old do his best to make us feel him jumping on it. WE FELT NOTHING! The mattress is medium firmness to a little more. I'd give a 6 or 7 on the firmness scale. We've slept so well that I was happy to tell the world about it. Would definitely recommend!
