As a young mother myself, had I been presented with options for OTC birth control I probably would not have been a teen Mom. Now to my experience with the pills, I did not get pregnant so thats a +++ lol, and they did not increase my appetite like other forms of BC have, so in turn I did not gain any weight while taking these. They did not make feel nauseous or moody so my DH enjoyed that. I think that offering OTC BC is a game changer for young women who don't have access to health insurance, who don't want to go to a free clinic in fear of being recognized or shamed, or understanding parents.

I’ve been using Opill since October of this year (2025), and it’s great - very convenient, great price, etc., but as of today I’ve been bleeding for 3 weeks straight. It’s more than spotting, but less than my normal period sometimes. A weird in between where I have to wear a light/regular tampon. It’s frustrating.

I like how they are very small tablets and is very easy to swallow and take. You need to take it at the same exact time daily to be effective. I would definitely recommend this contraceptive as i know it really does work if properly taken. I get aura migraines so taking this type of contraceptive doesn't affect that condition. I plan on continuing this contraceptive each month.

It did what it says it will do and is a contraceptive. I will say that early on in trying the O-pill, I experienced bleeding and spotting for about 2 weeks. (and I've never had that issue with other brands) I didn't love that part! but aside from that, it works well.
