[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I love the idea I can buy birth control pills over the counter. The Opill is great! You do need to take it at the same time each day, so I just set a reminder. Very easy! I also really liked that I didn’t get nauseous like with other pills.

I was really excited when this first came out and saw there was finally an option for birth control over the counter. I am newly living on my own and struggling with health insurance so i thought this would be a life saver. I tried this hoping to protect myself, seeing that many people were experiencing no side effects. I somehow managed to get every side effects imaginable. I am spotting literally every other week, my cramps have shot up significantly in pain to the point that pain meds don't even touch the cramps. The internet told me that my body just needed time to adjust so I continued to take the pill only to find the pain increasing over time. I am also having terrible mood swings, suicidal thoughts, and overall just feel ou of control when it comes to my emotions. I really tried with the opill for 2 and a half months, and i never missed a day, I always took it within an hour of when I am supposed to. But I'm just lying here on my bed crying from the pain. I can't take it any more. I'm glad it works for some people, and I am super grateful there is finally an over the counter birth control option but it i am proof this pill is not for everyone.

You can see the date is printed on the back to make sure you do not forget to take it. I have no period while taking medicine but I do not feel weird or uncomfortable like my previous birth control pills. I would recommend getting this and absolutely I will get more when I run out of sample pills.

They're in the normal foil pop out packaging. I didn't have any side effects or issues with the pills. They worked great. As with every pill, it's best to take them the same time each day for the most effective results.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I don’t have any preexisting conditions but after taking this medication for three weeks I noticed I felt very tired and then my foot swelled up out of nowhere. I won’t list side effects but for a few out of every hundred people who take this drug will have adverse side effects and I was one of them. I can’t recommend this product.

This is highly effective and would recommend for young adults. Mild side effectives like breast tenderness and some mood changes but over a good experience.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] For full disclosure, I received a three month supply of this birth control complimentary in exchange for my honest review. I have just finished my three month supply at the writing of this review. Initially, I was hesitant to try this, as the prior birth control methods I have tried before in the past were the patch and the combination pill. I had never tried a progestin-only birth control pill. I had recently made the decision to stop taking the combination pill as I wanted to feel my body without the side effects that I had endured with the combination pill. My hesitation regarding trying this was eliminated with research. With birth control, I think it’s very important that you do thorough research to educate yourself on the risks and side effects, to see if it would be worth a try for your specific needs. As with any pill form of birth control, it’s very important that you set a time to take this in which you can easily abide by. This does have stricter leeway in terms of the acceptable time you have to take it if you miss the exact time frame. When I first started taking this, I was surprised. It was a very smooth transition in terms of my body getting used to it. I didn’t encounter any symptoms that were noticeable. Worth noting that I started my first pack a little before my period was due, which did delay my period by a week. It’s been noted that with Opill, you can encounter no periods at all. Just a luck of the draw if that’s you! Speaking of periods, using this pill has resulted in shorter, less heavier periods. I found that my usual before period symptoms were eliminated, and during my period, the ughness of periods - cramping, moodiness, etc. was decreased significantly. This has also eliminated period clotting. The only difference I’ve encountered in my periods is that my boobs were more tender before period. This is a normal occurrence while taking Opill, and doesn’t last long. I’d say it was like two days max before period. Birth control is super unique in the sense that everyone seems to have a different experience. What may work for me, may not work for you and so forth. I can say honestly, without a doubt in my mind, that this is the best birth control pill I’ve ever taken. I feel more myself on this birth control than I ever had on prior pills. I haven’t truly encountered any negative drawback of Opill. Worth noting that this pill is easily dissolvable. Like noticeably so. Like as soon as you put it in your mouth, it almost immediately disappears which took me by surprise, as I’ve never encountered that with prior birth control pills. I like to just quickly put it in my mouth, follow with water. Swallow. Drink more water and swish around in my mouth, swallow. And repeat. That’s probably not necessary, but I like to do it for a peace of mind. I haven’t had any pregnancy scares and my period has remained true to its 28 day cycle. I have also had a few moments in which I didn’t take it at exact time (got to love when life gets in the way of that birth control alarm) and didn’t encounter any issues pertaining to spotting etc. I like how this is easily accessible. I can go to my local supermarket, and it’s right there by the pharmacy. It’s so convenient and makes it super easy for people to access birth control without any effort required. It may be a bit pricier than getting this with insurance, but I don’t mind when my experience has been so great and the easy convenience. Due to my positive experience, I will be continuing to use Opill, purchasing with my own money.
