It is pretty heavy so that's good but make sure you have a couple people to help you move it. Also I couldn't anchored it to the floor since i have carpet but i was able to get it anchored to the wall studs. It comes with almost pre drilled holes in the back at least on the metal layer so you just have to drill the inside layer so it was pretty easy I just bought some hardware with loops and shackle everything together keeping it pretty secure. It has a lot of space and having the interior lights is great.

This seems to be a good safe for the money. I narrowed my decision down to this safe and a Liberty basically the same size from Tractor Supply. The Sports Afield safe had a higher fire rating, as well as, a waterproof rating. I loved the US made aspect of the Liberty, but the nearly $400 more price point for a Liberty safe only slightly bigger, but with lower ratings and less features just didn't add up to me at this time. I will say that the lock bar system on the Liberty felt and looked better than the bolt system on this safe. It is nice that the Sports Afield safe has backup keys for manual entry in case of electronic lock failure. However, the keyed system seems pretty low quality and I wonder how hard it would be for someone to pick. The liberty didn't have a backup option on the safe I looked at. The set up of the Sports Afield safe was easy. The inside LED light strip is a nice feature. The light is battery powered though, so there is the risk of forgetting about the batteries and having them corrode over time. I picked this safe up in store so I had no delivery issues as some have reported. I knew going in that it would be a chore moving it, but with two people and a good set of hand trucks it wasn't that bad. As with any safe, do your research and make sure it's large enough for your needs. The 32 gun rating is a best case scenario assuming hand guns are not in cases and your long guns have no optics or accessories. Also keep in mind that even though the door pouches are nice, you have to allow clearance for the door to close properly. There's not a lot of room between the front edge of the shelves and the door once closed. Overall I am pleased with this purchase so far. The safe is of good size and quality for the price. If something changes or an issue arises I'll revise this review.

More than i would have expected, the finish was outstanding I used to sell auto paint and paint cars the finish was out standing. The lights inside was a nice touch. Also the price was right for the inside and out.

Great price! Compared to other retailers this is way cheaper for similar product. Had an issue opening at first. Had to use key to reopen after several tries. Called customer service and they said replace battery. Made it better but still would not open every time. After working the opener over 50 times it now opens every time. The electronic lock feels pretty fragile/cheap but it works. Having a hidden key slot does not bother me and gives me a safety factor that I can open. Not your normal key so it seems safer.

The weight was the reason I chose this model. About the max I can handle by myself. The fire rating was also a requirement and water resistance was a nice to have feature. These concrete mounting bolts that screw directly into the concrete are great. Used before - no issues. Lighting is nice, but external batteries with USB adapter/charger would keep corrosive alkalines away from my guns. The shelf support rails look fairly standard and of reasonable strength. Includes some screw-in shelf hold downs that are nice for keeping the ribbed shelf inplace. All ribs are for single barrel or over/under doubles. My old side-by-side doubles don't fit well. The rifle strap on the door is too short by at least 3 inched for my hunting rifles. Combination appeared to be easy to set from the instructions, but it took 3 tries before the one entered would unlock/give me the green light. Has worked fine since.

This is the first safe that I've owned. The price couldn't be beat, especially for the features. While it's a little on the compact size, it has plenty of space for my current situation. The safe has a higher heat rating compared to many that are much more expensive and it's also waterproof, which many others were not. The automatic (battery operated) light and the ability to plug in a dehumidifier is pretty nice, too. The only negative so far is that the smell of the inside is quite powerful. I guess that's to be expected for an item that is new and has been sealed up (fire & waterproof) for so long. I would suggest leaving open to allow to air out and acclimate.

Not big enough to fit inside. I was hoping to get in there with the guns a little, but can't. It's smaller on the inside than it looks. Holds a bunch of guns tho.

Arrived Damaged. They shipped a 56" gun safe laying across a 42" pallet, so it arrived damaged with two large dents and two long scratches on the right side. While the cardboard box was torn in several places, the gun safe was fine in those places; the damage was in other places unseen until I removed it from the box the following day. By the way, the delivery window from FedEx Freight was 12 hours long so I had to take the day off to be there to receive it. I emailed Sams Club photos of the damages the next day. No response. I contacted Sams the following week and was told they would start a return. I had to call a phone number which was answered by someone in the Phillipines because Sams will not allow starting a return with this gun safe online. Over three weeks later, nothing, no communication, nothing. I contacted Sams via chat and nearly an hour later was told a refund had been issued and would be posted to my Sams account within 5 to 7 days. 9 days later no refund. I contacted Sams via chat again and was told that she lied to me 9 days ago and there was no refund. I wish I had never ordered it from Sam Club. Buyer beware. I would highly recommend shopping for a gun safe elsewhere.
