Purchased to store pool chemicals and pool toys. Was very easy to assemble. Overall, it seems pretty sturdy. I like the two hinge pistons on the lid so that it's easy to open and close. Can't beat the price for a deck box this size. My only concern is that there are voids/gaps in between the lid and base, which means mice or snakes could get inside. If that happens, I will have to find a different deck box!

This storage has not met all of my expectations. I haven’t had a problem so far with water on the cushions stored inside but dust/dirt when it’s windy definitely gets in! So for me it defeats the purpose of storing the cushions in there. My purpose was to cut down on having to vacuum my cushions so much when ready to use them! I want my money back, really!

This is a decent storage box. Sturdy enough, but not "rugged" so you wouldn't want to have a lot of weight pushing on the insides of the box, or i think the sides might bow out. You could not sit on it, but you could use for serving table space, and it is more than tall enough for that. Perfect for storing pool floats, life jackets, etc. The 230 gallon is tall, so if you're short, you may not be able to reach into the bottom of the. It is 100% water proof in the rain, as it has been through several very heavy downpours, and it has stayed dry inside, so you could store beach towels in it with no problem. It is light and easy to move around. One person can easily drag it (it's too bulky to lift for one person, two can do it very easily.) The black definitely gets HOT in the sun, but that is to be expected. This is a BIG box so be sure you have a place in mind for it. I would suggest somewhere at the back of your space and out of the way. We moved it 3 times before settling on a final spot becuase it was so big and just captivated the space. I should probably give this 5 stars becasue it suits our use perfectly, but I'm giving it 4 just because it is a little bit "not-rugged" -- I don't want to say flimsy, because it it not flimsy, it's pretty sturdy, just... ...not rugged! As far as the assembly, it was easy to put together if you are a practical person and can use the instructions as a guide. Be careful with the screws and using a power drill, it is easy to strip the threading of the plastic that they screw into.

I have been disappointed in some keter garage storage units we bought several years ago! We saw these deck boxes at SAMS and decided to take a chance on the quality. Got the boxes home and they were very easy to assemble no cracks, splits, or wrapped pieces. The boxes are very large and all our patio furniture cushions fit in two boxes. They are very sturdy and water tight.

This deck box is well engineered, easy to assemble, and results in massive/sturdy storage. Only issue was a missing lid end cap (LM) -- only 3 of the 4 were in the sealed bag. Other than that, Keter should be commended for a job well done. Although the color is brown, it seems closer to black when out in the sun.

Had to return twice before I got a good one. The first one I bought had a damaged lid. Sam's wouldn't exchange just the lid, so I had to take the whole thing back and exchange it for a new one. The second one was missing parts, so I exchanged that one too. Finally on the third try it wasn't damaged and had all the parts inside. Gave it 2 stars because if you can get a good one it is a decent product for the price.

Love the box Love the size of the box. Had trouble getting the first one in it came late box was broke open and it was the wrong color. Sent it back got the new one took it all apart didn't have the directions and it didn't have all the parts in it or so I thought the directions online were wrong they were for the older box. Once it was all put together didn't notice it when we were doing it because the lid was the last thing that went on but the corner is all dented and messed up. Did send a picture of it to keita to let them know no I'm not taking it apart and sending it back it was originally supposed to be a shower gift.

Bought last May 2019 for pool equipment and deck chairs. Last week I noticed two cracks on the lid face. The cracks line up with the metal brace on the inside of the lid. I would not recommend this product. I have not called Sams or Keter just don't want the runaround. Should have stayed with Rubbermaid.

I would not buy anything from KETER because they do not back their products at all. My box was broken and under warranty and even though its under warranty they wont fix it or replace it.. They will send you to the fine print and say they have a right to not fix it if they offer you a prorated amount of money back.. So they offered me back $30 for my few hundred dollar box.
