We ordered this online. When we took it out of the box, there were a few places inside that were broken but they won't show and aren't going to affect the appearance or function. The face of the lid however was bent and warped where the locking mechanism should go. This was definitely noticeable but still functional. My husband took a heat gun and softened the plastic so we could clamp a straight edge to remould it and it's okay now. It's a nice, big sturdy box though!

I would have rated 5 stars but the lid corner was torn. Don’t think it will impede the storage containers use, so we didn’t send it back after taking the time to assemble. I’m very pleased with the size of the unit, very spacious! I fit all the grandchildren’s inflatables (still inflated), including a huge flamingo and Paw Patrol car, some lounge cushions, covers for grill and umbrella, etc. But what was really impressive is that after a horrible storm and heavy rain, everything inside remained dry. And I love the hinges which allow opening and closing the lid so easy! I think I’m ready to buy another to store my deck chairs in off season.

The Keter 230 gallon outdoor storage bin is a lifesaver. I am one of those who loves to decorate every holiday so over the years I tend to accumulate a lot of decorations ranging from blow ups to statues to lights. So Living in a 4 Bedroom house with no storage room can be a bit of a nightmare cause I don’t want to throw nothing away and since I am a renting the house I am reluctant to buy a outdoor storage shed. Now one day strolling through Sams Club in Miami, FL one day, I fell upon the answer to my prayers. I bought 4 and putting it together when I got home was a piece of cake. Thank you for providing and amazing product.

I recommend the following: 1 - Use a power drill screwdriver with a No.2 Philips bit to assemble it. Set it for a torque (autostop) of "1" or "2" and drive a screw in until the drill reaches full torque and "tap-tap-taps." Then check the tightness with a hand-held Phillips screwdriver. If it is good and tight, keep that setting. If too loose, increase the torque to "3." You will be screwing in a lot of 1" black screws, and you want them all equally tight and fully seated. 2 - When the plastic sides and bottom are assembled, there will still be a small gap where the edges come together, maybe just enough to slip a piece of paper into. It's enough that maybe spiders, ants, etc. could make an entry. Also, it would allow driving rain, or a lawn sprinkler, to put water into the box and that could lead to mildew or mold. So I bought a tube of silicone sealant and ran a bead all around the edges on the inside, sealing the box watertight (I think it would float now). 3 - While the top has a decent overlap over the sides, I wanted a more weather/watertight/insect proof seal between the bottom box and the top lid. So I bought a roll of 1/2 inch wide, 1/8 inch thick self-adhesive backed foam insulation and applied it all around the top of the box. Now the lid closes and seals with no gap whatsoever. 4 - The floor of the box is not strong enough for firewood or other heavy items, unless you support the bottom -- under the center -- with shims. It's great for seat cushions, pool floaties, beach balls, etc. 5 - The lid likes to be lifted straight up, from the center, and lowered straight down. The hydraulic lift tubes that help lift the lid and hold it when it is up are located at the rear left and right edges of the box, and don't want to be twisted. 6 - Last comment: Position it where it will not be sitting in standing water.

It was very easy for my husband to put together. Its large enough to fit what we intended, our huge corn hole set he made, plus many other thing's. It seems very sturdy and I like the way it stays open without slamming shut. We are happy so far with this item. Seems like excellent quality

We own 2 of the smaller Ketter boxes and they are great. This one was supposed to be bigger, but was dramatically smaller than the picture would lead you to believer. Additionally, it was much less sturdy like it was made by a different manufacturer. Avoid.

These boxes are great for deck storage. We use them primarily for pillows and other deck items that need to put put out of sun and rain. They seem to hold up well over the years. I had another box (the smaller 99.99 box) which held up well for a dozen years or so -- no leaking and minimal fading -- but that was in Upstate New York weather and snow. My newest box is somewhat larger and hopefully will do as well, although we are now in Central Texas and the heat and rain might be more challenging for it. The first box came from Sam's Club fully assembled; the new one came in a "flat box" and needed to be put together. The directions for assembly were quite clear and almost impossible to have problems if you follow them.

Very pleased with these. The size is perfect for a lot of cushions. We bought two. You have to put it together, but it’s not hard. It took about an hour to do the two. It’s hard to find a box big enough to hold what you need, so these are great, especially at the price.

I purchased this item 3 weeks ago. It arrived missing the hardware. I called the Keter customer service number and was told that the missing parts would arrive in 10 business days. I called today to follow up, and they have no record of my call. I had to resubmit my information and have yet to receive a response. I'm very disappointed in the poor customer service that I have received, and the issue has still not been resolved.

We love this deck box. We'd been looking for one a long time but none were large enough to hold all our patio chair cushions. We have a squirrel problem so we don't keep the cushions out unless we are using them. The lid has a piston hinge that closes nicely. And it's tall enough to use as a serving table when needed.
