Thermostat not so good

The air conditioner is great except the thermostat is not as accurate as I had hoped. The thermostat seems to be a 3 degree thermostat. I would have rated it a 5 if the thermostat were a 1 or 2 degree.

Missing hardware screws and bracket. Loud.

I bought this window A/C unit because my central A/C went out in 105+ F degree weather three days earlier and I was waiting for an A/C repair company to fix it. Got it home and unpacked it but it was missing all the hardware screws and locking bracket. Went through everything 3 times but couldn't find the hardware to mount it to the window which the manual says must be used. This is totally unacceptable. Everything was taped to the A/C unit as if GE though the breeze of someone walking past the box would cause it to explode and scatter all the contents yet they couldn't be bothered to include the necessary screws and window locking bracket. After 3 days of no A/C it wasn't worth the aggravation and lack of A/C to pack it back up and exchange it in hopes of getting one with screws and a bracket. Meanwhile this A/C balances unsafely on the window because the screws to attach the top mounting rail weren't included and anyone can break into my house because the window locking bracket wasn't included. The A/C unit is quite loud too although, that is to be expected, so don't expect to be able to hear a TV or radio in the same room. Also the information to connect it to WiFi, MAC and IP is on a sticker on the side of the unit which you can't see once it is mounted in the window. I don't know which genius thought that was a good idea but my main concern was getting it up and working first before figuring out how to get it to work with WiFi so now I have to remove it from the window if I want that capability.
