Wish I would have picked a different model

I am greatly disappointed in this product. I can’t even begin to tell you about what a poor Job this device is. It took over an hour to get the room cooled. Per the guide on the cover, we purchased the model perfect for our room but the cold air is subpar. Here is a quick list of how bad this product is. - The kit came with a missing piece for installation. Had to get a replacement from GE. - Not quiet at all, the noise level is as loud as a box fan on its max setting, - It never shuts off - Never reaches its set temperature of 78 degrees -App has a 1 star rating on the Apple store and won’t connect to the device. -the ECo mode just shuts the device off despite not reaching it temperate. -My room got colder from leaving the window open all night versus using this device. Either I received a dud or this product is genuinely horrid.

Hello AG. We are sorry that this air conditioner is not meeting your expectations. We understand why you were disappointed. We thank you for your review and see that missing a part is upsetting. When using the ECO mode then The fan will cycle on and off with the compressor.<br />This may result in wider variations of room temperature and humidity. NOTE: the fan may continue to run for a short time or may pulse intermittently after the compressor cycles off to sample the room air. It would be best to turn the ECO mode off so that the compressor will cycle on and off but the fan continues to run. The movement of more air helps the operation of the appliance. From this size air conditioner then the room square footage would need to be between 300-400 sg ft. When oversized it will not work as efficiently. We hope this helps. Geoff@GEA

Cooling.......I've always like GE cause still to this day you have the coldest blowing air conditioners and I've used GE since 2009
