Not good charcoal

My husband has always bought this brand of charcoal from Home Depot. I saw Sams had a better deal so I bought some. I don't know what is wrong with the bags from Sams but it does not burn long enough or get hot enough. Has anyone else had this problem? I will stick with buying it from Home Depot in the future.
