After reading other reviews, i worried for nothing. Box truck back up to the front door unloaded, i unpacked a well packed gun safe, not a scratch dent or blemish. 227 pounds easy to move around on the carpet. Great instructions. Assembled the lock maybe 15 minutes. Very happy with all the room inside. The 2 extra manual keys is a bonus, in case combination is forgot or the batteries go dead. 299.00 99.00 delivery 22 tax. very happy with this purchase. I regret i didn't buy 2... and the color, is perfect not dark and bold. Blends in with room decor.

I inherited several guns and needed a place I felt safe to store them that would keep my family safe. This works great. I also was happy to see it had room to not only fit 6 long guns, but 4 pistols, several coins and important papers.

Perfect for my needs
I can only say good things about this gun safe. The delivery was prompt. The packaging was great. And I received it without a scratch. I think the 18 gun capacity is a stretch, but this is perfect for my needs. If you want a small good quality safe I would recommend this.

Great safe with poor delivery
I received the safe about a week and a half ago. It is the perfect sized safe for my needs and appears to be well made and has a very nice appearance. I cut an extra shelf to suit my needs and added some battery powered led lights to use when necessary. Very happy with the safe. Delivery, however, left quite a bit to be desired. The safe was supposed to be delivered on a Monday. I took that day off work. On the Friday before, I received a text notification and email that I was next on the delivery list about 90 minutes after the freight truck left its previous stop.....which was approximately 90 minutes away. I was happy that it was arriving early but it was delivered before I could get home. I called my neighbor to check and see a) if the safe was delivered at the correct house and b) the condition of the box. Shortly thereafter, she sent me pictures of the delivery/box. The safe had obviously fallen over at some point during shipping and nearly destroyed the box; it was haphazardly taped together. She managed to stop the freight driver and he stated that the box was like that when "they" got it, but the safe was fine. I'm not sure how he could say the safe was fine without completely unboxing the safe....which I would have done had I been home. The safe was not fine. It had a dent in the top, front corner and the paint had chipped off and scrapes/scratches were on a couple of the lower corners. Very disappointed with the damage, but everything was operational and easy to set up. I intended to put a cut-to-size carpet square on the top to prevent scratching anyway. I immediately contacted Sam's customer service via online chat. I told them I would consider keeping the safe if some sort of credit was issued. They were very apologetic, helpful, and offered me what I feel was a very generous credit if I chose to keep the safe. I accepted their offer rather than return it and have to wait for a second safe to be delivered, possibly in even worse condition. I am still waiting on the credit to appear on my payment method, but I was told it would approximately 5 to 7 business days; I am confident it will show up within the next couple of days. If not, another call or chat will take place. The damage was no fault of Sam's Club or the manufacturer, so I am not going to lower my rating. It is still 5 stars in my opinion and their customer service was top-notch!

Good value for the price point
Good quality for the price. No, not burglar proof, but good enough to keep kids from my firearms and fire from my documents at least for an hour until the house is burned down or the fire department puts out the flames. Quality and build is as expected for the price.

No way 18 guns...
This price point is excellent for this size. BUT... don't be tricked... if you have any variety of weapons, rifles shotguns, military rifles.. .you are not going to nicely place 18 weapons in this size safe. If you have a few nice rifles with optics this is a decent little safe. I would estimate that you can comfortably place about 4 or 5 weapons in this, unless you don't care about your weapons then I suppose you could cram 18 into it. The delivery was perfect. No issues at all.

Wrong color but great safe!
We received the safe from a third party carrier. The communication was excellent up until the item was delivered into our driveway and the driver drove off without informing us of the delivery. Directions say to make sure the box is intact and an adult would need to sign off on delivery. That obviously did not happen. Thankfully the box was in good condition but once we opened it, it wasn't the color we ordered. We called Sam's club and were offered the option to return or take a credit. We chose to take a credit to avoid another hassle. With all that said….the safe is very nice.

Bait And Switch
This review is actually about Sam's Club and their bait and switch! I went online to purchase this gun safe, price was 499.98. Shipping cost would have "been from $99". The web site said upgrade your membership to "Plus" and shipping for items over $50 would be free. So, to save about $50 after the upgrade, I did so. Went to actually order the safe and shipping was added, $99. I went to Sam's club to ask what the heck was going on and was told the free shipping only applied to certain shipping companies. Apparently the shipper for the safe was not one of the "certain" companies! I changed my membership back to basic and made them refund the upgrade cost. I would like to point out that their shipping only included drop off at the address. Their primary competitor in our area (begins with C and is based in Washington) has a $0 delivery fee for a comparable safe, brings the safe into the first floor, unboxes it and places where you want it. The safe price is slightly more, but it comes out to the same price based on the delivery fees. Too dang bad the WalMart/Sam's Club corporation is no longer run by people with integrity. Where is Sam Walton when you need him?

Damaged Delivery
The safe was delivered in a timely manner and, overall, was what I was hoping for in appearance and dimensions. The problem I have is its condition from delivery. Instructions on the box note not lay on side. It was on its side on top of a pallet as received from the delivery company. It had been damaged. Sam's Club was great about offering to replace or return. I just didn't want another one shipped to me with a similar issue. I'll purchase a safe in person.
