They were okay but a little top spicy for my taste. I fixed them for my son and husband also. They didn’t like them as well. I would not purchase them in the future. They were not something that I would typically try. We are more of a meat and potatoes kind of people.

WOW WOW WOW! These are really good! With a flaky crust reminiscent of a breakfast pastry and a lot of filling these beef patties make a great snack for hungry teenage boys! But believe the "spicy" label. It was a little more heat than I expected but the flavor was great!

These are essentially beef pies, not patties. I made a couple in the air fryer. The consistency was good. The taste was good. I expected it to be spicier since the description indicates "classic spicy". It was about what I expected. The crust/pocket was a bit unique with strands of cheese on the outside, so that was a bit different, but the overall taste was good, which was expected. Not great. Not bad. Good.

Island Joe's beef patties were very good. Make sure you like spicey because these patties definitely have a kick to them. Easy to prepare, we used an fryer and they were ready to go in 12 minutes. Definitely recommend this product for an easy quick tasty meal.

Easy to prepare. The pastry crust was delicious, not bready. The filling has a great flavor, but I was disappointed with the texture. For lack of a better way to describe it, the filling was mushy, like a paste. Might be better if the pie was served cut in half and used as a chip to scoop up a dip.

IslandJoes Jamaican style hotpie patties were not what I expected. They are easy to make (we did ours in the oven, next time i would try the air fryer, they even rewarm well in the microwave). The flavor and consistency of the meat was excellent. The crust was very flakey and tasty. We served ours with a salad and enjoyed them outside. I would definitely buy them if Sam's decides to carry them, also interested in any other products they would carry by this brand.

These heated up nicely in the air fryer - followed the directions on the box. Nice, crispy, flaky crust surrounding well seasoned, balanced beef filling. The filling is a little on the spicy side but not so much that it is a "lip burner." The filling texture was a little pasty but was a nice contrast to the crust. Looking forward to trying to microwave since they are fully cooked. The box says they are ready to eat in 2 minutes but both sets of instructions take at least 12 minutes. Fairly filling - one was enough for a lunch.

The instructions say to bake it for 10-12 minutes. The center was still a little cold, so we nuked it for a minute, which was fine. The next time we bake them, I will set the timer for 14 minutes instead of their recommendation of 10-12 minutes. Their meat pie was very tasty and we will make sure we will purchase it in the future.

I received these as part of a promotion and was so impressed with the way they were packaged in a cooler and they came with stickers and magnet it was very impressive. The taste was very good I put them in the oven for a snack for teenage boys and they loved them. They were crispy with just the right amount of spice.

I say snack or dinner because it's easy to prepare 1 Island Joe's beef patty for an in between meal for hungry kids or 2 patties with a side for a meal. The best way to heat them up is by air fryer to get the crust flaky and cooked evenly. I liked the taste of these by itself but found that putting on my favorite salsa made them even better. The beef filling was tasty, not too spicy and not too bland. The crust was flaky and also had a good taste but was slightly dry, adding the salsa remedied this. Overall a quick & tasty treat that I would recommend for your freezer
