My husband is a native New Yorker and when he first moved to the Midwest would always talk about Jamaican beef patties. We stumbled on a different brand years ago which were very needy and had a real big kick to him. My husband love them but they’re kind of hard to find but they were always too spicy for our kids. This has less meat than the other brand and I don’t know if that makes a difference between the spiciness but I did not find them nearly as spicy. Has good overall flavor.

I chose to heat using oven directions. From frozen, states cook 8-12 minutes at 325. I did, but then had to put back in for an additional 5 minutes, then finally finished in microwave for 30 seconds. Wish the crust was crunchy. Overall product was good. Especially for an easy snack.

I received this product a couple of weeks ago and was excited to try it. I tried warming some in the microwave and some in the oven. I definitely prefer them being cooked in the oven. When cooked in the oven, the crust is nice and flaky, and tasty. If you like spicy food, this is for you!

The crust is not light/flaky. The meat inside was hard to find.
