Not really worth the money

We've had this for almost a month now. It does a good job at dusting the floor but it doesn't seem to have enough suction to pick up much more than common dust. I have to go back over the floors with a broom. I wish I tried the Ninja Shark instead.

Great Vacuum!

I bought this Roomba to replace am older model with out self emptying. I really like the ease of a daily routine and self emptying vacuum. I love that I can use it to spot clean as well once you’ve done mapping. This has been really handy to have especially having pets. The noise is a little loud when it’s emptying the vacuum however it empties it very well because it’s powerful.

Bad quality

It stopped working right after one year warranty period. I followed all troubleshooting and even bought a replacement part. After less than 2 months of replacing with a new part, it stopped working again with the same error code. Now company wants me to pay $125 + shipping to send it in to see if they can fix it. I spend good amount to purchase this and it only lasted one year. I am so dissapointed with the quality of this item. I don't think I will buy another roomba

Disappointed

I ended up returning this vacuum because it does not work on carpet as well as it claims. We have a Labrador Retriever and he does shed, but not to much. This vacuum would leave clumps of his hair all over the carpet making us use our other vacuum after the Roomba was done, defeating the purpose of having it. We would run it every day to see if that would help with the hair getting left behind and it did not. iRobot customer service was very helpful and sent us a replacement part that they thought would fix the problem, but alas it did not. It did work very well on the tile aspects of our house, so if you don't have carpet it would be a great option! Yes the end of the cycle when it was emptying is loud, but since I was running it when I was at work, I did not have to hear it. Also the mapping feature on the app and the app in general were very nice. So, if you have carpet, I would not recommend this vacuum, but otherwise I would!

Worse robot vacuum

This is by far the wort robot vacuum I've had withing the 1st month I had to replace the main roller brush , it don't work as good with pet hair I have a short hair chihuahua, also after 4 months it started getting stuck under my fish tank when before it didn't have any issues . I'm constantly having to fix the roomba in the charger dock because it won't charge by it self tells me I need to clean it with a magic eraser. I had a samsung cyberbot that was amazing but upgraded to this because of the slf emptying option worse mistake I've already replaced 3 things on this vacuum and it wasn't 1 year old (Brush, main roller brush and filter) should have gotten the Shark robot

Not worth the money

We bought this a few weeks ago. The battery life is horrible. We set it to vacuum the kitchen, entryway and living room on Tues and Thurs and the master bedroom and bath on Mon and Wed It spends an hour vacuuming our bath and bedroom on the scheduled run but doesn't get finished because it is really slow and the battery runs out. It does return to its station for a recharge but it is brand new. I would think the battery should last longer than one hour. Also, our bath and bedroom are not large enough to warrant it taking that long. I can only imagine the battery life will get even worse with time. In addition, it doesn't pick up my or the (non-shedding) dog's hair. It just makes a hair wad and spits it out for us to pick up later. We will probably return it. For the money it is just not worth it.

Just do it

I bought a Shark from Sams 6 months ago and for some reason the it quit charging. I returned it to Sams to exchange it, but they didn't sell Sharks anymore. I then chose this Roomba to replace it. I didn't think, I would like it because years ago I had one that just bounced around with no routine. Well to my surprise this Roomba works so much better than that Shark did. It cleans faster and so much better. I really loved my Shark but since I tried the Roomba there is just no comparison in the cleanliness of my floors. I have an English Bulldog and he shed everywhere. I would run my shark twice to get the floors clean. My Roomba cleans with one pass and doesn't get hung up as much as my Shark did. I would buy again tomorrow if something happened to this vac.

stay away—buy something else

First off—it does a decent job of vacuuming. Second off — it’s never finished making it through our home. It keeps getting on any of our rugs and then throws the drop off error. It get hung up on the base either trying to get off of it or getting back on. The rugs we have are short pile and sometimes it works and other times it does. We are taking ours back as it is extremely frustrating moving it to a new location every time it detect a cliff while it’s sitting on a rug.

personally love it

For my family it works great! We have 2 dogs that she’d like crazy! I hardly have to sweep or vacuum myself with this dude running now! It’s not perfect but nothing is anyways. It sometimes gets my kiddos small toys sucked up into it so you have yo help it out, or it needs help finding his home base. Other than that roomba helps us out so much with the crumbs to pet hair on the floor!

Does a reasonable job but frustrating

We've had this a couple of months now. It does a reasonable job of cleaning but here are some of my frustrations with it. 1. It takes a very long time, about 9 hours to clean our whole house (2700 sq ft) 2. It aborts about half the time. The first couple of times were learning experiences about area that were better cleaned manually to avoid it getting hung up. More recently, didn't seem to be any good reason. 3. It often gets lost and cannot find it's way home. Circles endlessly in different rooms with the blue light flashing and has to be rescued and put on it's stand before the battery dies, then doesn't know how to resume and/or self cancels. 4. It has totally illogical cleaning patterns. Refuses to finish cleaning one room then move on so our dogs can get their toys out again. Instead, it does part of a room, moves on to another room or two and eventually comes back to where it left off. Means we have to clear the whole house of potential obstructions and leave them cleared until it has totally finished. 5. It sometimes thinks it cannot connect to the app and has to be rebooted. I think we will eventually get used to is eccentricities. I will also defend it against those who have complained it is noisy. It is fairly quiet most of the time, and even when it self-empties (which some have describes as being like an airplane taking off), it makes no more noise than our previous vaccuum (Dyson Big Ball) makes all the time.
