It is pretty heavy so that's good but make sure you have a couple people to help you move it. Also I couldn't anchored it to the floor since i have carpet but i was able to get it anchored to the wall studs. It comes with almost pre drilled holes in the back at least on the metal layer so you just have to drill the inside layer so it was pretty easy I just bought some hardware with loops and shackle everything together keeping it pretty secure. It has a lot of space and having the interior lights is great.

This seems to be a good safe for the money. I narrowed my decision down to this safe and a Liberty basically the same size from Tractor Supply. The Sports Afield safe had a higher fire rating, as well as, a waterproof rating. I loved the US made aspect of the Liberty, but the nearly $400 more price point for a Liberty safe only slightly bigger, but with lower ratings and less features just didn't add up to me at this time. I will say that the lock bar system on the Liberty felt and looked better than the bolt system on this safe. It is nice that the Sports Afield safe has backup keys for manual entry in case of electronic lock failure. However, the keyed system seems pretty low quality and I wonder how hard it would be for someone to pick. The liberty didn't have a backup option on the safe I looked at. The set up of the Sports Afield safe was easy. The inside LED light strip is a nice feature. The light is battery powered though, so there is the risk of forgetting about the batteries and having them corrode over time. I picked this safe up in store so I had no delivery issues as some have reported. I knew going in that it would be a chore moving it, but with two people and a good set of hand trucks it wasn't that bad. As with any safe, do your research and make sure it's large enough for your needs. The 32 gun rating is a best case scenario assuming hand guns are not in cases and your long guns have no optics or accessories. Also keep in mind that even though the door pouches are nice, you have to allow clearance for the door to close properly. There's not a lot of room between the front edge of the shelves and the door once closed. Overall I am pleased with this purchase so far. The safe is of good size and quality for the price. If something changes or an issue arises I'll revise this review.

Excellent quality, very spacious and easy to arrange your items

This safe is made very well. It shipped without any damage. We are happy with this safe. It’s several hundred dollars cheaper than the Liberty Centurion. And made better. With more features. We had a Liberty safe shipped and it came damaged…it was cheaply made. Even Liberty’s keypad was junk plus no back up keys. That is why we shipped the Liberty back and bought this Sports AField. Great decision!!

This is the first safe that I’ve owned. The price couldn’t be beat, especially for the features. While it’s a little on the compact size, it has plenty of space for my current situation. The safe has a higher heat rating compared to many that are much more expensive and it’s also waterproof, which many others were not. The automatic (battery operated) light and the ability to plug in a dehumidifier is pretty nice, too. The only negative so far is that the smell of the inside is quite powerful. I guess that’s to be expected for an item that is new and has been sealed up (fire & waterproof) for so long. I would suggest leaving open to allow to air out and acclimate.

Received this with ripped cardboard and once opened, it was apparent that this thing was likely and literally dropped from the back of a truck and tumbled end over end. The safe has dents and dings everywhere, the largest being 5”x3”. It’s honestly impressive how the safe could be so damaged. I do like the features including the adjustable shelves, door mounted storage options, and LED lighting is nice bright and clean looking. Just pretty disappointed to receive a poor quality unit.

Ordered safe online so it would be delivered to my home. All went great until I received the safe. The handle turns when the safe was locked, so I contacted S.A products support and they told me to contact Sam’s and get a replacement. That’s what I did and Sam’s gladly replaced the safe and picked up the defective one. The replacement safe, the handle locks, but the keypad doesn’t fit securely to the safe door and moves when I enter the code and sometimes falls off the door. I contacted S.A. product support by email several days ago and still no reply. I think some of the safe’s are probable OK, but its a gamble if you get a good one or a dud. So far it’s been two duds for me. Thank you Sam’s for going above and beyond on replacing the first safe, you were a pleasure to deal with. S.A Products not so much. In the email to SA support, I offered to replace the keypad and faceplate myself if they would send the parts, but no reply.

Good looking safe. Heavy as can be but like most others damaged during shipping. Sams offered to replace but would take 48-72 hours and i couldnt have this 340lb beast sitting in my kitchen for 3 days. So i took the consolation prize of a $100 refund. Just know before you order odds are FedEx will deliver it dented.

The safe itself is nice and appears to be good quality, but the ordering and delivery process was a nightmare. My original order was not delivered on the scheduled date, and after multiple inquiries I was repeatedly told it was just running late. I was eventually told the order was cancelled due to being out of stock at the warehouse it was shipping from. What made this more frustrating is that I reordered the same day it was cancelled, as the item still showed in stock. I had to reorder at the non-sale price. That order did arrive as scheduled, but when the box was opened—this was a Christmas gift—the safe looked dirty and has multiple scratches, almost as if it had been used. Very disappointed in the overall experience. The product itself may be fine, but the shipping, pricing, and condition upon arrival were unacceptable. Returning it is more hassle than it’s worth.

I’m extremely disappointed with this Sports Afield gun safe purchased from Sam’s Club. For a product that is supposed to provide secure storage for firearms, the quality and support have been unacceptable. After only a short period of ownership, the safe stopped functioning properly. I reached out to customer service at Sports Afield expecting guidance or troubleshooting. Instead, I was told that I first needed to register the product, even though I already had the manual and paperwork. The manual itself lists multiple possible model numbers, which makes it unnecessarily confusing to even determine which safe I own. Customer service mentioned something about replacement parts, but provided no specifics about what part, why it failed, or how it would actually resolve the issue. There was very little clarity or meaningful help provided. For something as important as a firearm safe, I expected reliability and competent support. Unfortunately, this experience has been the opposite. At this point, I would much rather return the safe entirely than deal with ongoing issues and unclear support. Very disappointing purchase. Never again.
