Amazing Tv
First impressions were that the packaging of this LG TV has been well thought out. Being able to remove the box leaving the tv in place to avoid having to try and pull the tv out of the box, which always feels a little precarious, is a great idea. Setup is extremely simple - literally plug and play. Settings out of the box were also surprisingly good. I like to spend time adjusting the picture settings to achieve the ideal picture for the space the TV occupies, but for someone who doesn’t want to have to do that, using the Expert preset resulted in a pretty good picture right off the bat. Picture quality is excellent and the OLED technology results in perfect blacks and contrast that blows any LED TV out of the water. HDR content looks amazing and for me was one of the most impressive things about the TV and it really shows off the benefits of OLED technology. The LG C series has always stood out as an impressive TV for gaming and that hasn’t changed. Extremely low input lag combined with variable refresh rate, Dolby Vision gaming, FreeSync Premium Pro and more means that it stands out as one of the best options if you’re considering the TV for gaming use. Overall it’s difficult to fault this TV. I’m extremely happy with the LG C4 TV. It’s an excellent all-rounder that packs an amazing punch when it comes to picture quality and gaming support. I’d highly recommend to anyone considering one.
Fantastic TV
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I’m not gonna lie, my husband looks after the tech in our house but even I can appreciate the quality of this TV. Both the picture and sound quality are great, we do use a soundbar but even the TV speakers don’t sound terrible. The picture though is awesome, it’s so bright and clear. Even on sunny days you don’t lose the ability to clearly see the picture without closing all the blinds/curtains. I also find the navigation really easy to use which is good cos it means I’m not constantly asking my husband how I do something like open Netflix!
Faulty 65inch C4, with no resolution in sight
Brought 65inch C4 in Nov 24, but since i have had it the screen goes black, but audio still plays. I spoke with LG in January, who after a bit of back and forth requested a repair. Repair was completed in March, but the issue was not resolved. I currently have a very expensive TV that is not fit for purpose and there is resolution in sight.
Thank you for taking the time to leave your review I would like to reassure you that LG is currently aware of this issue that you have reported and working on a fix. The latest update is that LG is currently data logging this issue and hoping to have an update very shortly. I apologise for the delays and inconvenience but we do hope to have some updates on this issue shortly. Regards
The TV to purchase
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I have always considered the LG C series to be the best value for money as far as purchasing an OLED TV is concerned, and the C4 continues to hold that title. Picture quality - as expected - is extremely good. Perfect black levels, excellent colour gamut, punchy images, and bright highlights in HDR. The TV is the brightest 'C' series yet. The TV is certainly an improvement over the C2 and C3 - both of which I have in my house at present. Whilst I think we're nearing the 'peak' of picture quality, it is still good to see we are seeing improvements in each successive generation of the C series TVs. Sound quality - I generally do not use TV for sound as I have a dedicated 5.1.2 setup, however, sound quality is decent for a slim television set. But I will always recommend a dedicated sound setup if you care about a complete AV experience. Gaming - Perfect for anyone who plays PS5/PC/Xbox games. 4x HDMI 2.1 ports up up 144 Hz (PC gamers will only really benefit from this) and VRR/G-Sync. Interface + Remote - The interface is clean and easy to navigate. I do not like to be bombarded with advertisements however. The remote works well; essentially unchanged over the previous generations. Easy to navigate with the control pointer. Negatives - No heatsink. The heatsink would bring longetivity to this panel and help protect against image retention and burn in. OLED technology will always succumb to burn in and you will have to be careful to rotate your TV habits and never to leave static images. In the perfect world, there would be ZERO burn-in for the C4. But I suspect we will need to wait for MicroLED to have OLED like picture quality without the downsides. Overall - An excellent TV. Yes the G series is technically better, but I don't think it's worth the additional price. The C series is the TV to purchase IMO.
Another top OLED TV from LG
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Having owned one of LGs OLED TVs before I had an expectation that this new LG C4 OLED would be of a high quality but the step up and development over the last few years has been larger than I expected. This is really a top TV built to last a long time with a range of smart features built in. The set up of the TV is straight forward, minimal steps are required if you are using the stand, and the TV itself has a really user- friendly set up process, this guides you through user creation, picture, sound, network and streaming services. Within around 15 minutes I had set up my internet connection, signed into a host of streaming services and set up a picture profile. The TV looks very impressive, with small bezels around the edges and it does feel very much like a giant photo frame. The only slight negative is the stand, for such a large set I think a wider stand would look better, this is still fine and more personal preference. The controller is the same as many other LG’s, it is effective and simple to use with quick buttons for streaming sites such as Netflix, Prime video, Disney+ and more. If there was one downside I would say the back has a really shiny plastic and from past experience I know this scratches super easy. Not a major issue but considering the price and quality of the TV, the controller doesn’t quite match that standard. The picture quality of the TV is the real stand out. OLED TV’s always have amazingly deep black tones, and this is exactly the same with brilliant contrast. However, where this improves on previously OLED’s is the brightness, it is considerably brighter than my previous LG OLED. Allowing for better viewing, deeper contrasts and improved range of colour. Another area of improvement is the sound, this is by no means better than a sound bar or dedicated setup, however it has far greater range than previous LG TV’s and also to me seems to get much louder. The TV has a raft of built in features such as Chromecast, which is great as my partner uses a fitness app and can now cast directly to the TV without needing a dongle. LG’s webOS operating system has developed over time and again is very simple to use, with a row of your apps which can be customised to your needs. Overall, I am very pleased with this TV, Watching films and TV has never looked so good, with improved sound and all the feature proof features you will need for many years to come. I would highly recommend .
The Ultimate Viewing Experience!
The 77-inch LG OLED evo AI C4 4K Smart TV is simply spectacular. The picture quality is stunning, with deep blacks, vibrant colors, and incredible clarity that make every scene come to life. The AI-enhanced features are intuitive and enhance the viewing experience seamlessly. The smart TV interface is user-friendly, offering a wide range of apps and easy connectivity options. The sleek design adds a touch of elegance to any room. Whether watching movies, sports, or gaming, this TV delivers an immersive experience like no other. Highly recommend!
A game changer for home entertainment
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Having recently renovated our downstairs, we were looking for a TV to give us the wow factor in our new lounge area and opted for the OLED65C44LA , and thank god we did! This tv delivers in every aspect. Setup was straightforward, the updates downloaded quickly and once we gave it a "test drive" with some high quality action scenes we knew we'd made the perfect choice. The picture quality is simply incredible, the colours so vivid, motion superb, and we were blown away. I can't really comment on the inbuilt speakers, as we used an LG soundbar instead (also superb!) , which I think a TV of this calibre warrants to make the complete package. This is a very solid investment for any home, and I know will keep us very happy for years to come for our movie nights together, or when we have friends around for the football too. Highly recommended
LG TV OLED65C4
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I have had a few days with the new LG C4 OLED and I am now ready to give my initial impressions. The last LG model I had was the C2 so I only have this to compare it to. If you like your TVs ultra thin then this might be the tv for you, using a tape measure this tv at its narrowest point is only 1/4 inch thick and at its widest about 1.8 inches, it just looks stunning. One thing I did notice when putting the Tv together is that the power cable is permanently attached this shouldn’t be a problem but it something to consider if you are wall mounting you TV as you will have to route the cable first. Round the back this time it has all the usual connections but now has 4 HDMI ports which all appear to be HDMI 2.1 this is great if you have more than one games console to connect. Where as before you had to swap the connectors out when using a PS% and XBOX to get the best picture out of them. The first thing you notice when you turn this tv on is the brightness, It so much lighter and visible in a bright room. If you have and sort of direct sunlight on the screen it doesnt really cause any problems. I believe this TV has over 1000 nits of brightness which is fantastic for this type of tv placement. Booting up the tv and the new Webos the new interface its very well organised and navigation friendly offering neatly organised tiles in a familiar but defiantly improved OS. The remote hasn’t changed much if at all but it’s still easy to use and well labelled up with the usual quick buttons to the popular apps. The picture when watching content from Netflix or Disney in Dolby Vision or HDR is as ever fantastic, the colours are rich and vibrant and just look fantastic on this TV. The only thing missing is HDR 10+ but I don’t think that will bother too many people. Another good thing is it doesn’t seem to matter where you sit in the room the picture remains perfect and the same the viewing angle is great. The sound has had a bit of an upgrade but as with most flat tv’s the sound is never great. LG has definitely put some work into the new tv as the sound is clear and has a decent enough bass but it’s not close to how good a separate soundbar sounds. The E-arc connection to the soundbar works perfectly without issue and goes through all the formats Dolby Atmos , DTS etc without any problems what so ever. If you did need to use the onboard speakers though the sound is ok and more than bearable believe me theres a lot worse out there. Overall this is a stunning TV with the best picture I’ve seen on an OLED and look forward to plonking myself on the couch in front of it.
Impressive quality picture
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] The TV arrived well packed and setting it up was a breeze, especially with the LG ThinQ app. The LG is also light in weight compared to my previous OLED, weighing in just under 17kg. I was sceptical of the quality of the TV that I had just unboxed- How wrong I was! The step-by-step ThinQ app instructions made installation effortless, including WiFi setup and agreeing to terms and conditions. The process of checking for and applying the software updates was seamless. Personalizing the TV with my preferred apps was straightforward. The home screen's layout was intuitive, allowing easy arrangement of apps. Adjusting settings like disabling power-saving features and configuring picture modes was hassle-free, thanks to the clear menu options. I was suprised with the jump in picture quality and sound compared to my previous OLED TV. The TV handled standard-quality broadcasts admirably, and HD content looked stunning. When 4K content was played, especially when paired with HDR, the picture quality was breathtaking. The sound quality exceeded expectations, particularly with the AI Pro feature offering an immersive experience and Gaming on the TV was truly remarkable, delivering stunning visuals. Some of the gaming visuals on this LG are absolutely stunning. The minimal bezels and slim design add a touch of class to wall mounting this 65” beauty. Without hesitation I can highly recommend this 2024 LG C4 OLED, especially in the 65-inch size. Having spent a few days with it, I'm thoroughly impressed and look forward to enjoying many more viewing experiences, looks like LG has a new fan!
Horrible Remote Control Functionality - Returning
Two problems: 1. The remote displays a confusing On-Screen POINTER which activate some unwanted function. Teh Support stated the Programmers are working to fix this bug 2. After going to an App (Netflix or Prime) going back to the Cable service Provider (Spectrum) takes multiple clicks
Hey there! Thanks for sharing your feedback. It sounds like the remote's functionality isn't aligning with your expectations. The on-screen pointer can be tricky for some users, especially if it activates unintentionally. If support mentioned that a fix is in progress, there might be updates coming to improve this feature. Send us a private message on social media @LGUSSupport with your model number so that we can see if there are any other options available to help get you back to enjoying your favorite shows. We'll be here ready to connect and help you out. ^ Diego
