You will not be able to go back to an LCD tv - Integral freesat tuner has a problem with ITV 1 so I’ve purchased a seperate Mni Mannhattan one - all fine

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Brilliant TV. Absolutely sublime display. Great sound too. One issue, and the reason for deducting a star. The first TV delivered direct from LG had a fault. It would reset its self randomly after around 90-120 minutes. Offered a no quibble replacement. Delivered today and the original unit taken back. Perfect.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Picture and sound appear to be fine but the TV guide is very slow to respond to the remote. If I am trying to navigate up or down there is a delay in function, and then the guide will speed up missing out between three or six channels, even carry on until I press guide again to go back to TV. And if I select a channel with more then one number the second or subsequent numbers will not be applied. I even tried new batteries in the remote to no avail. OK I am elderly but this should not be happening! I considered long and hard before making what I consider a large purchase of this TV and at the moment I am not best pleased.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Just an excellent product all round great for normal tv but really performs when watching films and with apps ,one of my favourite features apart from the endless you can choice from is all I have to do is link my xbox control and I can game through the remote play . Absolute love it and couldn't have a better recommendation for a tv or I should say stunning bit of kit

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I have always wanted an LG tv and when my old gaming monitor was playing up I took the plunge and I have never been happier with a display. The colours are vibrant, the standard sound is well balanced and the features / web os are easy to navigate

It was quite a surprise when installing the tv. I expected Freeview to dominate but instead it was all about LG and I had to search for Freeview after installation. Each time I switch on I have to select a tile for “live tv” which is annoying as sometimes clicking this tile brings up the apps. If anyone can tell me how to get Freeview as my startup I would be more than happy.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Definitely the best TV I've ever had, with brilliant colour and contrast. Two words of caution to potential buyers though. 1. It's a devil to get out of the box and set up safely. When the delivery men dropped it off they took a photo of the screen to verify it had arrived in one piece. I had to set it up on my own and was terrified of breaking it - it was very tricky to remove from the box and set up without putting pressure on the screen at any point. Good to have careful help here. 2. As is quite common, the various motion smoothing and image enhancement settings were all turned on by default, and colour and contrast were far too high. My first viewing of a standard definition channel was so bad I nearly sent the TV back. Highly compressed, low resolution digital channel look pretty poor on any 55 inch TV and these settings are there with the intention of mitigating that but just like on any othe TV all they do is make it worse, and the settings on this TV, that some poor techies have no doubt laboured over to make a selling point out of, look so bad it's beyond belief. A war film I chanced on looked like a badly drawn cartoon seen though a bathroom window. Turn them all off and your standard def channels will look no worse than any other TV. If you're watching anything in HD or 4K, though, this is great. Set the black level so it's as dark at it will go without losing any detail in the shadows, turn off the motion smoothing and so-called clarity settings, and this is just about as good as it gets. Remember to do this for all inputs because if you set it up for live TV those settings won't be carried over to your Netflix or blu-ray player, you have to set those up too, so it could take a while to get everything how you want it, but that's par for the course. My only other minor quibble is that with some old DVDs it wont recognise that they should display in 4x3, and where some TVs have a remote that can fix this with one button, you have to hunt through the picture settings to correct this. The on-screen cursor on the remote can be a bit skittish and alight on things you don't want to activate, but it's easily turned off and useful for typing in names when you're searching for something. Finally, it's a very smart looking set. Overall, very happy indeed.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] It is a very good tv with excellent colour and sound. However I do find it a bit complicated to use. Also on my existing LG tv I can use my Sky handset to turn on the tv and sky box and the tv opens in sky. I do not seem to be able to do this with the new tv.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Excellent picture quality straight out the box, lots of adjustable settings. Very easy to set the TV up, excellent option to use Freesat rather than just freeview like a lot of other makes. From a modern TV, sound quality is good, I would say for most of the time, it’s perfectly acceptable and you don’t notice it’s lacking. Add a quality soundbar and this transforms the TV for films.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Only let down by the gloss finish on the screen, it gets a lot of reflection. But setting up and navigating around to tv I would give that 5 stars. In the store that had no windows didn't show any reflection, then I probably wouldn't have bought it, but picture quality is excellent.
