Love it so much

The LG OLED C46 is hands down the best TV I’ve ever owned. The OLED display offers rich, vibrant colors and the deepest blacks, making everything from action movies to nature documentaries look stunningly realistic. The TV’s ultra-slim design is sleek and stylish, and it fits perfectly on my wall. I’m also impressed with the sound quality and the smart features, which are fast and easy to navigate. Gaming is a smooth, immersive experience with no lag at all. If you’re on the fence about getting this TV, just do it—you won’t regret it!

Excellent OLED TV for films and PS5 gaming

I have moved to this TV from a QLED, and the difference is vast. The brightness of this screen is excellent, whites are bright, and the blacks are fully black with no blocking in dark scenes. I have a P25 and the games are fantastic using the game mode on this TV, colours are outstanding, and the console drives the TV hard both from a resolution and frame per second, but the TV keeps up easily. I mounted the LG TV on my wall, and it was both easy to mount and very light given the size of the screen, no issues with my wall mount at full extension. I use a sound bar so cannot comment on the sound quality of this TV.

Picture quality is top notch.

Outstanding picture and easy to use remote control. Sound is good however I put mine through a AVR unit for better quality and clearer speech. Only downside is the pixel request which is regularly required when the TV is turned on. This takes 5 minutes and can be overridden but would still need to be done later. I did find setup a bit confusing as so many questions and options are offered. Very pleased with the final result.

Very difficult start

This came without useful instructions. For several weeks when trying to register device the website refused to recognise model no. or serial no. An email requesting help went unanswered. For some time it was difficult to find the programmes I wished to watch but 1/3 screen filled with adverisements for sponsored programmes I have no interest in. When switched on sometimes messages that map has changed do I want to reinstall. No choice to do this later when I've finished watching, what happens if I don't? Some shelf is constantly unavailable for maintenance so I've no idea what that does. The sound is good, the picture is good. Navigating round the options and finding the chosen programmes NOT so good and no guidance or instructions to be found.

Very Happy.

Nice interface. Great selection of apps (YouTube, Spotify, Netflix, etc.). Great sound. We removed our separate receiver and AppleTV, simplifying our setup. Two remotes instead of four. I wish the programming of the remote was clearer (coloured buttons).

Replacing a 12 year old set

Excellent picture clarity. Connector sockets have very easy access. Setting up the sound can be a bit fiddly and I prefer to do setups from a printed manual - online manuals, especially when you need to access several pages, simultaneously, can be difficult to interpret.

Great TV.

Best picture I have ever had, really surprised when I tried the old 50in, non-oled in the bedroom how poor that was in comparison (I used to think that was ok!). Great range of connectivity. Sound from the TV speakers not reflective of the quality of the pic but who doesn't use a sound bar these days.

Not as good as everyone says.

After a few days of owning this and coming from a non smart tv previously which was Sony. I have found a few issues. 1. The tv guide can be laggy and slow to load. 2. Several channels are repeated, so I have channel 2 twice as well as channels 6 9 23 and a few others. On each repeated channel the first version has bad reception and the second is good. But when you switch to the second version it automatically turns straight back to channel 1 after a few seconds. 3. It’s quite dark especially on movies. I find the blacks are too black and the whites are too bright white. 4. My previous workflow was to use apps on my tablet and cast to the tv. While in theory this is still possible, I find that the tv is often not found when trying to cast to it. 5. Which brings me to problem 5. Apps on tv is all well and good but so far I’ve not found a way to quickly find the app I want. There’s no ‘my apps’ or favourites. It just gives you hundreds of recommended apps to choose from, most not even installed. So I have to go on the hunt to find the ones I use every day each time. I will say it’s my first smart tv and I’m still learning the settings. But I am a technology guy and I’m surprised by how complicated the menus are.

Nice, but expensive, TV

As with any new TV it took a while and some care whilst working out the securing of the base and cable routing to the TV with a picture only instruction sheet, I’m sure there is a video online somewhere but it didn’t occur to me to view it. Similarly, once plugged in, working through all the setup steps, inputting email address etc. took a while but the remote control operated cursor made this a bit easier. Looking back it was pretty intuitive and everything worked from the go. Anything I’d missed in setup such as Alexa setup and features such as AI picture pro and it’s sound equivalent became apparent through subsequent screen prompts or through just browsing through the settings menu. Although not an LG issue I’m slightly disappointed in the shortage of UHD content available on channels. . Even The Euro 2024 football championships are only available in HDR on BBC i player, , Glastonbury and Tour de France 2024 similarly. It even appears that the Paris Olympics, although will be broadcast in 4K , is in a watered down version. Otherwise I’m left with the majority of my viewing being in normal but good quality resolution, albeit on a sophisticated and expensive TV

Good picture and sound.

Good picture with plenty of options to to adjust the settings to your liking. Sound is okay but really requires a sound bar to show off it's true potential. Only problem is that the stand requires fitting which can be a bit difficult as the very thin large screen could easily get damaged.
