The image quality is outstanding, with vibrant colors and crisp, clear visuals that bring my favorite movies and shows to life. Setting up the Freestyle Gen 2 was a breeze, The user-friendly interface and straightforward controls made it a hassle-free process. I appreciate the flexibility to stream content from various sources, making it a versatile addition to my home theater. One standout feature is the built-in speakers. The audio quality is surprisingly good, eliminating the need for external speakers in most cases. However, if you want to take your audio experience to the next level, there are convenient connectivity options for external sound systems. The portability of this projector is a major plus. It’s easy to move around the house or even take outdoors for movie nights under the stars. Thanks to the Samsung Freestyle Gen 2 projector, I no longer need to go to movie theaters to enjoy a cinematic experience. This projector has brought the theater experience right into my home, making movie nights with family and friends a memorable occasion. It’s a worthwhile investment for anyone looking to elevate their home entertainment setup.

Picture quality is quite good. Sound is not impressive, and I haven’t been able to connect it to my Sonos or any other Bluetooth speaker (the freestyle doesn’t “find” any Bluetooth devices though they’re right next to it and in pairing mode). . The controller needs to be plugged in in order to work, as it has never held a charge. Thankfully I got a battery so I can use the projector while the charger is using the charging plug… all in all I think I’ve used it like 10 times in the months I’ve had it, as it’s just too much of a hassle to navigate the menu, plus subpar sound.

I would recommend the battery pack (and the mounting kit etc.) as a in box Accessory and pay the extra 150, I would recommend a higher resolution and brighter picture if samsung would even get back to this review, and add a HDMI adapter to the micro HDMI input, overall the projector really needs a updated version of the free style and package options for accessories but for those who got the projector... cheers yall -jay4badger-

(This review was collected as part of a promotion.) Incredible cinematic experience with vibrant colors, sharp details and impressive brightness. Amazing auto focus and auto leveling. It has Impressive projection on either walls or ceiling. Built-in speakers are awsome but Bluetooth devices can also be added for better sound experience. Light weight and portability makes it convenient to carry along even while traveling. Love this and highly recommended.

Hmmm... It is very difficult to connect my PS5 and Nintendo Switch to this projector using a micro hdmi. I have spent a few hours troubleshooting, watching videos and reading articles hoping I will be able to figure it out, but nothing happened. I have turned off and on the projector and consoles a couple times to see if they will connect but still nothing happened. The projector / hdmi function could not detect the consoles and signal. I am very disappointed.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I LOVE what Samsung is going for and their innovation, but the lack of needed improvements from the last model, disappointing image quality, no included additional accessories make this a deal breaker for me. I won't talk about price or directly compare this to any other projector, but discuss the value of this model compared to the value in other projectors in its class. At the MSRP of this unit at launch, there are many options that include an internal battery (vs paying additional for this one), 4k options, better lumens, features. If portability is more important then image quality, this product MIGHT work for you. However, the added cost for a battery accessory is substantial and there are other options out there at this cost that include them. Samsung will certainly have an advantage of better software, better apps, probably easier to use, but you need to prioritize your needs when making a decision. I wanted to use this in my bedroom and on my patio outside while in a hot tub. In the bedroom, light control isn't an option and this unit did pretty well. Things like the type of ceiling, fans, placement options, etc all come into play. It needs to be centered, which isn't ideal unless you have a shelf above your headboard. I managed to make it work on my opposite side of the bed but despite decent hdr, auto focus and color, the picture remains gainy and just not enjoyable. Outside: Here's where the lack of a battery really comes into play. I use all of my outlets so I have to switch one out when I bring this with me. If you want to use it farther out, you'll need an extension cord or pony up for a battery. IF it came with one, I might be satisfied. But I have an older 1080p projector that's only slightly bigger that provides a sharper, larger, more pleasant picture I'll be using. All in all, I love the idea but feel the lack of needed improvements (many reviewers out there highlight the same shortfalls), make this not an ideal option for the price at launch. I would unfortunately not recommend this for indoor or outdoor use. What I like: - Size and portability - Auto focus - Available accessories and options - Software, apps, responsiveness - The price has been reduced from last year's release - Smart and Smartthings integration - Smart calibration (but not perfect) What I don't like: - Image quality - Brightness - No lens shift - Lack of value in this range of projectors - no included battery - Kinda loud
