Sturdy and easy to assemble

The Hurricane is invaluable during the cold wintery weather. You don't need a lot of room to set this up or to use it indoors. My son is on it for 2 to 3 hours a day just swinging away. Nice part is, he doesn't have to hit and then retrieve the ball from a hitting net. Just get in his stance and swing. Very durable and a great product. Price was cheaper than anywhere else I looked. Well worth the money.

This was great for practicing form and follow through. We only are using 2 tension cords because my son is 10 and cannot set up quickly enough yet to swing when it comes back to him. It needs eoungh space to swing around and come back and also enough space so your kid can fully swing and not hit something inadvertantly with his or her bat. We set it up in the basement but it can be good in a garage or even outside.

Purchased this for my son who is 9, looks like it helps with his strength. So far so good, the machine has held up. Plus this price is cheaper with Walmart than any other store including the SKLZ website. I would recommend it, i can tell we will get many years of use out of this. I also would recommend watching youtube videos on maint and how to setup. The tips help, especially from locking up or keeping the grease on.

The only thing wrong would be the bag is a bit flimsy, due to the pipes having sharp edges I can see the bag ripping in a short amount of time. I plan on lining the inside of the bag with a towel to avoid the rips. Everything else is sturdy construction and have use it with a team of 10 years as a warmup prior to a game. Frees me up to deal with other kids on the team instead of holding a batting stick the entire time.

LOVE THIS THING. MY SON IS 7 YEARS OLD AND I CAN SEE THIS GROWING WITH HIM. BOUGHT IT AS A BIRTHDAY GIFT, BUT THE GROWN UPS HAVE BEEN HAVING JUST AS MUCH (OR MORE) FUN. THE BALL DOES WIGGLE QUITE A BIT, IN AN UNNATURAL JKMIK"PITCH" MOTION, SO YOU HAVE TO LET IT GO AROUND A FEW TIMES BEFORE YOU HIT IT AGAIN. OTHERWISE, GREAT PURCHASE

This is awesome. It really allows you to look at all of the mechanics of the batter without the worry of pitching or having to react to a ball coming back at you. The SKLZ Hurricane can be portable, but it has some weight to keep it stable and take a beating.

I almost didn't purchase this aid as I thought it would be poorly built (not very heavy duty). Opened the package and put it together and found out right away that sombody put some thought into the design. Very nice piece of equipment and looks like it will hold up for years to come. My 8 yr old boy loves it as well as my 4 yr old daughter.
