Compared with a Bose Bluetooth unit 20% of the size, this unit doesn’t produce half the volume. It offers too many superfluous features in place of its intended purpose, being a speaker.

A durable carry handle and that great"ALTEC" sound ( nice bottom end and clear highs) make this a keeper. But the part that my grandkids love the best are dancing party lights as they call them. ALTEC has included different styles of musical lights ( appear to run off the bass line) to help get the party started. They just love them. Now to see how long it will run on a chargeas it claims up to 6 hours...

It has great sound quality, is super easy to use, and the battery lasts a long time. It produces a lot of bass and the volume is able to get very loud but also very quiet.

The bass is ok and the placement of the speaker in a room really makes the difference. It gets loud enough to fill a living room. The lights are a cool feature the kids love. There are a few ways to get your audio to the speaker which is a plus. The battery life is great as well.

However the Altech speaker surprised me. It wHas ver y good sound and lots of features, it has many fun light settings that ar e super cool on the patio after dark. very happy with the speaker and search8jg for a good place to store it. Will use for many fun nights on my patio this summer and beyond

I like that there are options to increase the bass as well as choose which light settings you want. The one thing I don’t really like about it is not knowing if I’m at the highest or lowest volume setting. I feel like the loudest setting isn’t as loud as I would hope for. All in all I am happy with this and would recommend it to anyone who is searching for a portable Bluetooth speaker.
