great chair

I bought this chair 2 years ago and loved it, heavy duty and comfortable till it broke. Called the 800 # on the bottom of the seat and talked with the best customer service dept. of any company I have ever dealt with, 40 hours later I had a new chair setting on my porch when I was just expecting the part to fix my old one.

love it!!

Been looking a whole year for a big comfy office chair like the one I have at work. Went back and forth looking at reviews and so glad I chose this one. Looks like a boss chair and I can sit comfortable with my legs cross crossed on chair. And I’m a thicker girl. Does get kinda hard on the booty after long 10hr days but that’s usually my time to log off.

Def' heavy duty ! Smells like a new bed but comfy

9/6/12 I wanted to review this chair and stop back for an update if anything changes as we just got it last few days. **First I wanted to note for asthmatics and allergy folks it smells like a brand new regular mattress would (fire proofing Id guess). It is bothering my allergies and asthma but I'm hoping it will off gas and wear off like a mattress does. We live in a small space so this is kind of critical. If it doesn't off gas soon enough I will update this** My hubby is a big guy 6'1 and 320lbs, we needed a chair that really fit him and didn't wear out and bend metal as the regular ones did. This certainly meets those needs and seems like a great choice its very heavy duty made, the floor base is metal (heavy too) castors are plastic tho'. Was fairly easy to put together tho' you need muscle to use the allen wrench enclosed. The chair rolls nicely, quiet, sits comfortable for him (and me really im 5'5 175lb), I can actually rest my head on its back if I want (he cant). It has nice settings for the arms in and up and down or off. The tilt setting is very helpful and the lock setting for no tilt. The padding seems very plentiful, we will see how it wears. I could stand a tad more seat out the front, since the back padding pushes ya fwd a bit, but its very comfortable. I cant sit indian cross legged on it tho' even tho its big since the seat is a tad short out the front. The seat is approx 23" across by 20" deep hard to measure with the padding, the feet stick out a few inches further all the way around that. The way the feet are arranged it would be hard to tip it back when tilted which is nice. Its def' wide enough for hubby and he says he sits comfy so that's what I wanted. If you have to pick it up and move it beware its heavy, maybe 40-50lbs. At this point I would def' recc'd it for heavy duty needs :) Arrived quickly before the "it shipped" email even arrived. All in all a good bet I think with five yr warranty :)

Amazing Value, Size, Comfort

The chair is great. I wasn't looking to spend a lot and I had seen them go up to 700.00. This one is so comfortable. Set up was easy except for one wheel that refused to go on but it did once I sat on it. Easy setup. Did it by myself in about 20 minutes. I'm 370lbs and had no problems at all. I love it.

Big and Tall Mid-Back Swivel/Tilt Chair

My back is feeling much better as every day passes but my left arm still goes numb occasionally. Thank you for asking. After further research of reviews on other websites, I've come to the conclusion that there are at least 3 styles of this chair using the same model number. It seems to be the luck of the draw as to which one you'll receive. If you're fortunate enough to receive the "Goldilocks" style, you should thank the man above (or person of your religion). If you receive the "Leans too far forward" style, you should be able to find an engineer that can place washers in strategic locations to bring the chair backwards to an upright position. If you have my luck, you'll receive the "Leans too far back (while in the upright position)" style, where I (as an engineer) could find no combination of washers, or longer bolts, to bring the back of the chair forwards to an upright position. This being because there is no gap between the seat and the back of the chair. When my lower back hits the back of the chair, my upper back is at least 2 inches away from the back of the chair. I was being bent into an "S" shape. I suppose pillows would correct the situation but one reason that I was looking for a new chair was to avoid the constant need to reposition pillows each and every time I sat down. Oh yes, you want to hear specifics about the chair. At 5 feet 10 inches, my feet were barely able to sit flat on the floor at the lowest level but even then there was some discomfort on the back of my legs, just above my knees, where they dug into the seat. I can't imagine anyone shorter than this finding the chair comfortable. At 215 pounds, I was barely able to make a dent in the seat (which is my way of saying that the seat is very hard) but the seat may soften over time. The fabric is very abrasive to bare skin. The chair is very sturdy and should be able to hold the advertised weight limit. Make sure your local Wally World is near enough to avoid return postage, if any. Good luck!

good chair

I'm over 400 lbs and this chair is very sturdy. Very heavy and durable. I've only been using it for a week, I'll update if anything goes south. I'm also 5'10" and at the highest setting is too tall for me!! It doesn't have a lot of cushion, so if u are looking for a plush chair .. this is not it.

Great Chair

We ordered 4 of these chairs for our office. As of the writing of this review, we have been using them for almost 8 months with no issues. I like that they are heavy duty. Made well/sturdy. Have plenty of room and are comfortable. Great for people who are tall or that weight over 200 lbs.

well worth the price

this is an excellent chair for anyone needing a larger chair , it could use a little more padding in the seat but i just folded a towel and it helped . it is a sturdy chair well worth the price [ plus free shipping from walmart ] i dont think you could break it if you tried , i paid twice this for another chair from a place that specializes in large size products and it broke the first month. it is pretty easy to assemble [ directions could be better ] but the pieces are very heavy-- i did put it together by myself but it would be easier to have someone help .

Great Chair - Lousy Instructions

Shipment arrived two days before website said it was going to which was a major plus. I built this chair with the help of my eight year old son as I have some medical problems which cause my hands and arms to go numb. PLEASE READ all of the instructions before you start to build the chair then build the chair my moving a couple of the steps around. My son and I followed the instructions exactly and could have saved ourselves some grief if we would have done one major step in a different order. The lumbar support ins't really in the right spot for me but I do have to say that this chair is comfy, sturdy and rolls around on the tile floor great. I weigh quite a bit less then the weight limit but after buying another chair from Walmart not two years ago and it was quite shoddy I was looking for a chair that had great reviews and this one had it. I am quite happy with my purchase and my cat likes it too as she has decided that the top of the backrest is mighty comfy as well.

Fabulous Chair

This is a fabulous chair. Easy to assemble and as strong and sturdy as they come. When they say it will support 450 lbs they are not kidding. I bought this chair for my husband who is no where near that weight but was uncomfortable on the smaller computer chair we had. I wasn't a big fan either. This chair rivals all of those "executive" computer chairs. If you like a wider seat you will love this chair. You won't go wrong with this one.
