Factory machining is poor, chair just Okay...

Extremely Heavy getting the box inside the house. Having a work surface would greatly help in the assembly of the chair. While installing the armrest, I encountered a problem, one of the armrest threaded inserts was not properly machined. I ended up leaving one bolt out on the right armrest. Second problem, While installing the back, again there was another threaded insert that was not properly machined. I felt that was going to be an issue for safety. At that point I decided to return the chair as defective. I slept over night and knew I had the rethreading tools, so I matched the bolt with the proper thread and got the proper tap tool needed, It was a 3/8 tap for the backrest insert, so I re-taped the insert and was able to get the bolt in the hole. Okay, now I am sitting in the chair as I type this out. First thing I notice is the coaster wheels are not smooth rolling, second thing I notice after adjusting the armrest in that they king of wiggle back and forth every time you move your arms. I plan to check and see if I can swap the coaster wheels from my old chair to this new chair, they roll much better. The seat cushion is very firm as in the back cushion. I thought it would feel cooler since it is a fabric material vs. the leather type material that my old chair was made of, but that's not the case, it actually feels warm to sit in. I had a large pillow cushion that I had used in y old chair, so I put that on the new seat cushion and it feels better. I am 6'4" and weigh about 214. Proper adjustment for the legs should be at about 90 degrees, so I made that adjustment and then adjusted the armrest to the highest settings, which now has the armrest slightly lower than the bottom edge of my desk. Out of the box, the tilt was set firm, so that's the way I prefer it. I got my chair on sell with free shipping at $189.98 + Tax. For the money, I would say I got a pretty good deal, as long as the fabric holds up over time. I like that the armrest are not fabric as that is what usually gets the most wear as well as the seat cushion. My las chair lasted about three years before the seat cushion started to loose it's cushioning. Hopefully, this one will last longer...

Poor Assembly

Assembly was ok UNTIL the last 4 bolts that secure the back to the seat. The nuts were not secure so I could not tighten the bolts. I have been an aircraft mechanic for over 50 years so I know how to tighten nuts and bolts. Do not waste your money or time and effort on this product. Sam"s should discontinue this item

Amazing Value, Size, Comfort

The chair is great. I wasn't looking to spend a lot and I had seen them go up to 700.00. This one is so comfortable. Set up was easy except for one wheel that refused to go on but it did once I sat on it. Easy setup. Did it by myself in about 20 minutes. I'm 370lbs and had no problems at all. I love it.

Fabulous Chair

This is a fabulous chair. Easy to assemble and as strong and sturdy as they come. When they say it will support 450 lbs they are not kidding. I bought this chair for my husband who is no where near that weight but was uncomfortable on the smaller computer chair we had. I wasn't a big fan either. This chair rivals all of those "executive" computer chairs. If you like a wider seat you will love this chair. You won't go wrong with this one.

great buy

I bought myself this chair after my last chair finally fell apart. I needed a sturdy chair as I had gained a lot of weight. I am 400 plus pounds and this chair is extremely comfortable and stable. It was easy to put together I didn't need any help and it took about 20 minutes to put together. I would definitely recommend this chair to any plus size people that want good quality for a nice price.

Wide chair

The chair is not design to rock or recline, it is a heavily made chair and is made for people with wide posterities. The wheel base is metal and of heavy construction. The overall weight of the chair is what has surprised me the most. You will have to put the chair together, but everything you need is in the box. For the money this is a chair that will fit most large framed people and will hold up.

well worth the price

this is an excellent chair for anyone needing a larger chair , it could use a little more padding in the seat but i just folded a towel and it helped . it is a sturdy chair well worth the price [ plus free shipping from walmart ] i dont think you could break it if you tried , i paid twice this for another chair from a place that specializes in large size products and it broke the first month. it is pretty easy to assemble [ directions could be better ] but the pieces are very heavy-- i did put it together by myself but it would be easier to have someone help .

Big and Tall Mid-Back Swivel/Tilt Chair

My back is feeling much better as every day passes but my left arm still goes numb occasionally. Thank you for asking. After further research of reviews on other websites, I've come to the conclusion that there are at least 3 styles of this chair using the same model number. It seems to be the luck of the draw as to which one you'll receive. If you're fortunate enough to receive the "Goldilocks" style, you should thank the man above (or person of your religion). If you receive the "Leans too far forward" style, you should be able to find an engineer that can place washers in strategic locations to bring the chair backwards to an upright position. If you have my luck, you'll receive the "Leans too far back (while in the upright position)" style, where I (as an engineer) could find no combination of washers, or longer bolts, to bring the back of the chair forwards to an upright position. This being because there is no gap between the seat and the back of the chair. When my lower back hits the back of the chair, my upper back is at least 2 inches away from the back of the chair. I was being bent into an "S" shape. I suppose pillows would correct the situation but one reason that I was looking for a new chair was to avoid the constant need to reposition pillows each and every time I sat down. Oh yes, you want to hear specifics about the chair. At 5 feet 10 inches, my feet were barely able to sit flat on the floor at the lowest level but even then there was some discomfort on the back of my legs, just above my knees, where they dug into the seat. I can't imagine anyone shorter than this finding the chair comfortable. At 215 pounds, I was barely able to make a dent in the seat (which is my way of saying that the seat is very hard) but the seat may soften over time. The fabric is very abrasive to bare skin. The chair is very sturdy and should be able to hold the advertised weight limit. Make sure your local Wally World is near enough to avoid return postage, if any. Good luck!

Comfortable chair and looks good!

Comfortable, however, if you are 6"4" or taller it may not be deep enough for sitting long periods. More support closer to the bend of the knee area would be helpful. Still, the chair meets my expectations and I recommend it to those having difficulty in finding an office chair for big & tall folks.
