I ordered another BRS 900 extra firm. The first one lasted 7 yrs (not 10). The edges were no longer firm. But I loved the mattress so much I wanted the same one. It was so good not to have to test mattresses in a store and still not be sure you got the right one. I hope they keep making this model.

I needed an extra firm mattress and this Beautyrest Silver Extra Firm was just what I needed for a good night sleep. This mattress provides so much support I am sleeping better and not waking in the middle of the night trying to roll over like I was with my old mattress. Very comfortable, soft, pleasant to sleep, my back and bones do not hurt when I started sleeping on it. All the same, sleep is an important part of our life and we want to sleep comfortably, so the mattress completely satisfied me, starting with convenience and ending with the appearance, the quality is also on top. I am very pleased with this mattress.

I tend to prefer to have more of a softer pillow top, but my husband was having back issues so we tried a firm mattress instead to try and help his sleep. He loved the firm mattress and got much better sleep. I still personally prefer a soft pillow top but my husband loves the firm mattress!

I used to wake up sore and my lower back would be hurting so bad but after using this mattress I know now what a good night sleep is. I'm 5'2 so this mattress sits up really high because of the pillow top. I like the firm texture because I'm laying on top instead of sinking in. So far no issues with this mattress and a top notch mattress.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] So, it was past time to replace our almost 20-year-old much loved firm Beautyrest mattress and we decided to replace it with - you guessed it - another Beautyrest mattress! This Beautyrest Silver BRS900 Extra Firm mattress is definitely extra firm which is exactly what we prefer but with the nice padding on the top it is still so comfortable. My husband swears that his back pain is much better sleeping on this mattress. We did have a 3-inch foam topper on our old mattress and it turns out that we don't need it on this new one. The stitching is sturdy and the mattress is well made. It is a couple of inches thicker than our old mattress which actually makes our new sheets fit better and stay on the corners better. The edges of the bed do not slope down when you sit on them, so they are nice and sturdy as well. We just love the feel of it and how it much better it makes us feel when we get up in the mornings. It makes our old platform bed feel like a new bed. Now we did purchase and put brand new slats on our platform to make sure the bed was good and sturdy for our new mattress and we also put a fairly new mattress pad on top so between the three, our Scandanavian teak platform bed feels like it did 45 years ago when we first bought it. We're not young anymore and a good mattress is a big deal for us to not have pain every night and to get a good night's sleep. This beautiful Beautyrest mattress fills the ticket. You forget how pleasurable a new mattress is until you get one. We are loving it.
