We absolutely love this bed! Prior to this we had bought a "memory foam" bed on line that was suppose to be amazing (little to no reviews, no one heard of it) and what ended up happening is, it was not good enough! I would get out of bed and my whole body ached! I thought, "I guess this is what old feels like" (I'm 30 years old). My husband stands on his feet all day and would complain of back pain, again we assumed it was being over weight and getting old (he's 33). To our surprise the bed was firmer than the show model and took some getting used to, maybe 5 nights. I immediately noticed a difference when I woke up and stood up from the bed, no pain, and no aches! I feel completely young again! My husband hasn't had back pain since! He has more energy now and we could not be happier! We would recommend this type of bed for everyone! There is a reason why they are the best and we now know, we cant put a price a good sleep! My wife and I had our last Tempur-Pedic mattress for about 20 years, so we were concerned at the change. We went with the Pro-Adapt Firm because it reminded us the most of our previous mattress and are so glad we did. Something about the combination of firmness + the slight give of the Tempur-Pedic material makes for an amazing comfort. We have not had an uncomfortable night's sleep since we got it almost a month ago.

I was the type of guy that didn't see the point of buying a expensive mattress. Until I kept buying mattresses that hurt my back. After my 3rd mattress in a year my girlfriend twisted my arm into buying a tempurpedic. After I bought the mattress I do t regret anything. My back has never felt so good 10/10 recommend. Don't think of the price think of the investment.

It has caused me back and neck pain. I can't get to sleep at night because it is so uncomfortable. I have slept in the back of a pickup truck when I was younger when we went camping that was more comfortable. I regret the day that I purchased this over priced horrible mattress. I'm sure temper - pedic will not do anything about it. Once you buy it it's yours forever and ever.

The jury remains out on my new Tempur-Pedic mattress. It replaced a hybrid from another manufacturer in its twelfth year of use that developed uncomfortable strike through to the quite firm support layers. The ProAdapt Hybrid was chosen simply because the in-store sample felt the most comfortable among the several hybrids and others on site. Despite the warning of the break-in requirement in the product literature, I found the first few days of use bordering on intolerable. With a week or two of additional use the mattress is becoming better to sleep on and I'm willing to withhold final judgement pending further break-in. I suspect my prior mattress was softer overall (and I'm older and creakier now), but I fondly recall the wonderful, enveloping support it provided during and after break-in. None of the in-store options at Mattress Firm offered this and, in the end, I may pursue adding a topper to try to recapture the feel of the prior mattress.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Love my Pro adapt bed! Back ache is nearly gone, my husband's snoring is minimal with just a push of a button. What more could I ask for? Nothing beats a good night's sleep. So much that I bought another one (temper-cloud that comes rolled up) for our cabin in the mountains. A splurge? Yes but comfort is worth it! Only downside to new one; a tad bit too firm. Now I need a 1" topper but can only find a 3" which is too squishy for me.

With my old mattress I woke up with a back ache everyday. I purchased the Pro-Adept along with an adjustable base and I sleep usually around 5 hrs undisturbed and no more backache! I never slept more that 2 hrs at a time at the maximum before I was up walking around. I feel so rested now obviously I don't need as much sleep as others because before with such broken sleep I was always tired.

When i got into bed the first night, it felt a little firmer than I remembered from the store trial. I vaguely remember saying, "Oh darn, I hope we didn't make a big mis-zzzzzzzzzz...". About eight hours later, I woke up, fully refreshed and feeling better than I had for ten years. Getting out of bed was easier also, without the usual sore and stiff spots.

We purchased a King Tempur-ProAdapt in firm. After seven months, we wish we could undo this purchase. Our previous two mattresses were both firm, traditional independent coil. This would be our first memory foam mattress. Neither my wife nor I sleep consistently well on the Tempur-Pedic. This mattress chases you off it - I literally find myself getting out of bed in the morning because I can no longer stand the discomfort my body is feeling, specifically, pain through my pelvis and hip region as well as sore shoulders and numb arms. The hip and pelvis pain is with me continually and the sad part is I have learned to live with it. Recently, a second seven day vacation away from our Tempur-Pedic, I realized my hip/pelvis and shoulders stop hurting within a day or two. I spoke with Tempur-Pedic, but their response was to keep the room cool and to consider purchasing their mattress topper which would *maybe* help soften things up. I never stated this mattress is too firm, there is more to it than that. This mattress brought pain my mid-40's body has never felt. Read reviews and if you're having problems early on, react immediately, we're stuck with this thing now and we'll have to absorb a second mattress purchase in under a year. They claim their customer service is so great, why not try to help someone and send them a mattress topper after they just spent thousands on your product and are now afraid to use it.

Quite firm upon delivery, outgassing quite strong nearly 3 weeks later. Though the mattress softened up nicely after about 2 weeks and is now very comfortable! I am an average temperature sleeper and live in Massachusetts, I do not feel like this mattress makes me hot at night. Overall pleased.
