I recently upgraded my cooler game and picked up this iceless cooler for our summer road trip. I was somewhat skeptical at first, but was blow away by how quickly it cooled down from room temperature (less than 1-hour) and how much more space I had inside the cooler without all the ice. It was great having cold beverages and food easily accessible after getting to the hotel late at night. The only two issues I have with the cooler are the ready light (green/orange) and the user manual included in the box. The orange light actually means it is at temperature and the green light indicates the unit is running to keep the contents cool. This feels a little backwards, but is not really a big deal once you figure it out and this is not indicated in the manual. Speaking of the manual, the included version is very heavy laden with pictograms, is very small and hard to read. However, a quick Google search for Igloo ICF manual provides a link to a full length, in-depth manual that explains all the features in detail. This is especially handy for those wanting to take the ICF camping, tailgating, etc. where you would either be running the cooler from your vehicles battery or an auxiliary battery. Looking forward to my next trip with my new "Iceless" cooler!!

The new ICF cooler is a required staple for our weekend travels. Most of our weekends consist of traveling to baseball tournaments. I can now safely pack sandwich meats, cheese, fruits, condiments, drinks, etc. for a nice picnic between games. I pack my cooler the night before and plug it up in my kitchen. Then I transport it to my car and plug it in before we leave for the games the next morning. Another time saver of not packing coolers in the morning!! Also, I don’t have to stop by the store and buy a bag of ice which amazing, because I don’t have to deal with melted ice all day and worrying if my food or drinks are staying cold enough. Not only is this a cost savings from having to buy junk food from the concessions, but it’s a healthier food choice. This promotes better energy and performance for the later games. All the other moms are raving about my new purchase. Just this week, I packed ice cream for the team after practice. I love the fact I can easily switch the settings from a refrigerator temperature to a freezer temperature. The size of the 40qt cooler is a perfect size and easily to transport. This is truly revolutionary to weekend road trips and activities for families. You are missing out if you don’t have an ICF cooler! I recommend this product.

This Igloo Electric cooler is a game changer! No more Ice and mess to deal with! We packed for a trip to the cabin with ease! Upon arrival, we put the food in the refrigerator and used this Igloo to to keep beer and drinks out on the deck and the cover was a nice touch. This little cooler was so convenient - I plan to use it at the baseball fields this summer! I imagine the team will love an ice cream treat after a hot game day!... Thinking I'm going to have to buy a battery to make it even more portable for camping too! At first I was a little worried that it might be difficult to program, but the simplistic controls were simple as 1,2,3. Literally 1. Power, 2 Set 3 pick your temp and that's it. Within a very short while, it was cool. I was pleasantly surprised at how quiet the compressor is.. no loud activation sounds or whirring - just a soft quiet hum. Size: It is not much larger than our older cooler - but without the Ice we can fit so much more, and I love not having to stick my hands into that freezing Icy water mess!!! Don't think I'll ever go back to a regular cooler! And I plan to keep this one in the house for drinks to save space in my refrigerator!

This cooler is a game changer! It literally changes everything I ever thought about coolers. The uses and benefits for me are endless. I have always hated dealing with ice and inconsistent temperatures. Solved. I have always hated wet and moist food being cooled in cold melted ice water. Solved. I have always hated using half my space in the cooler for ice or ice packs (which are also heavy). Solved. I have always hated planning my shopping trips out for the day to optimize the time I buy my frozen food as the last stop home. Solved! I just put this thing in my car and plug it in and free to go anywhere whenever. Seems like every time I have ever wanted ice for my cooler/party, I wasn't alone, and all the stores around me were sold out. Solved! Just plug this thing in at home or in my car. I love that I can keep ice cream right outside around the pool for the kids! Un thought of benefit: Lights went out at the house. Fridge is warming. Family is panicking. Steaks are defrosting! Solved!! Plugged it into the car and kept my important frozen stuff frozen until the lights came back on! I could keep going on with how this thing has changed our cooler game. What I am most excited about are the uses I haven't even thought of yet.

Love ❤️ it! Was better than we expected. It worked very well. We put a big bag of ice in the cooler the night before our trip. Next morning, we put frozen food in it with ice packs, several frozen bottles water and more ice. Most of our frozen food remained frozen for at least 3 days in a 95° F. Bags of ice and frozen bottled water stayed frozen a few days longer. Was very happy with this cooler.

My family and I love road trips. This cooler is one of the best purchases I’ve made. We no longer have to buy ice to keep our drinks cold on the road. It also came in handy this Thanksgiving because we ran out of space in our fridge for all the leftovers, so we plugged the cooler in and stored some of the leftovers! I gave it 4 stars because I’ve only had this a few months, and for the price (even on sale), I hope it will last a few years.

Couldn't believe I found the ICF40 at Sam's for less than the price of the smallest ICF anywhere else (on clearance maybe?). I bought it to take with me while traveling to south Florida for hurricane relief work, and it worked like a champ for the week and a half I was on the road. I used an external battery pack (Ryobi 300w power bank) to keep it going during the day so I wouldn't have to leave my truck running, and it drew very little power, so the power bank had no problem keeping it powered and the Igloo maintained refrigerator-cold temps all day, even when my truck was parked in the sun. This was way better than filling with ice every day.

Easy to transport, runs on AC or DC. The best thing is no ice is required. I used the cooler on the floor of my back seat in my F150 for a road trip of 1900 plus miles one way. Sub sandwiches kept for 24 hours without difficulty. I kept an open can of dog food that was covered with an appropriate lid cold until my Pomeranians could finish the can(2 days). Cold drinks were definitey readily available.

FAIL! Ugh...first time used it. Loaded cooler with 36 drinks and 20 lbs of ice, didn't even make it out the front door and the handle broke in husband's hand. Looks like the aluminum/plastic pins failed. Half the cost of RTIC, Yeti and Pelican but yeesh, this huge cooler with the huge handle isn't up to the task. There's no way these Igloo coolers will last more than a season. Worst IGLOO ever? All looks but no muscle? Maybe just a Sam's Club exclusive?

The pull handle popped off the first time I used it. The screws that secure the handle go into a thin sheet of plastic and Styrofoam. No backing and no support behind the screws. Terrible design. This rolling cooler is worthless without a pull handle. Waste of money.
