First time using unscented and I am gagging! They smell horrible. The scent has filled my entire cabinet I store them in.. what are these things made of, if the unscented smell this bad?

I have been using always pads for years. I recently got a box that all the pads smelled horribly of a chemical/plastic smell. I thought maybe it was just that box. I just bought another yesterday and same thing! Won’t be buying again.
