Customer reviews for Member's Mark Hotel Premier 14" Hybrid Mattress (Available in Medium, Plush, and Firm) forVery Comfortable- Twin XL Firm
I purchased the Firm mattress and have had it about a month, and it has really made a difference in my sleep and helped greatly with my lower back pain. I would call it more of a medium firm, the memory foam top really adds to the comfort but there is a firm layer under that which adds great support. Sleeping on this mattress along with an adjustable base and I do not want to get out of the bed in the morning.
Great For Hip Pain
I was nervous about purchasing a mattress online. But this mattress has been a great buy. I needed something that would reduce hip and lower back pain associated with side sleeping. After reading other reviews I decided to give it a try and am so glad I did!
Very soft, in fact too soft
If you buy the Ultra Plush, expect a SUPER SOFT mattress. In fact it is so soft, it feels like it is actually hurting rather than helping since there is virtually no support. We like a plush mattress but this is nuts. When you lie on it, and we are not big people, from the side you can only see 80% of us. Medium firm is probably the best. The other issue is sheets staying on. The cover is incredibly slick and the sheets slip off with ease. You will need a zip-on mattress cover that has some friction to keep the sheets from slipping off the corners. All it takes is getting in the bed and a corner will come off. We have the right sized, deep pocket sheets (from Sams). If your weight is in the 100 to 120 pound range, you may not sink like a rock. An average adult (I weigh 190), I am in a hole. This one is going to being returned.
Hi Greg, Thank you for taking the time to share your experience with the Plush mattress. We’re truly sorry to hear that it didn’t meet your expectations. Comfort is highly subjective, and while some customers love the deep contouring feel of the Plush, we understand it may not be suitable for everyone—especially if you're looking for more support. Your detailed feedback about the lack of support, sheet slippage, and the sinking feeling is incredibly helpful, and we’ve shared it with our product team. We always aim to match the right mattress to the right sleeper, and it sounds like a Medium Firm option may indeed be a better fit for your preferences and body type. We're also sorry to hear about the trouble with your sheets staying in place. We’ve seen success with friction-based mattress protectors, just like you suggested, and we’ll consider including that tip in future materials. We appreciate you giving it a try, and we’re glad you’re making use of our return policy—it’s there for exactly this reason. If you’d like help selecting a model that better suits your needs, our team would be happy to assist. Warm regards
Did not last very long!
This mattress does NOT hold ip. We purchased it in September and it is already broken down. It was much more plush than expected, as well. Save yourself the hassle and get a nicer one elsewhere. This one was great for the first few weeks and has two holes where we have slept for barely two months! The motion transfer is awful, as well. Such a disappointment. We are returning it for a full refund, it hasn’t even been 90 days.

LOVE Our New Mattresses!
We bought two twins a couple weeks ago (firm for husband and medium for me) for our king size platform. I really couldn't be happier, and my husband likes his, too. We both slept better immediately. Less tossing and turning from him, and I wake up in the same position I fall asleep in, with no extra stiffness/soreness. My only complaint is that when we measured (twice!), the twin x 2 was the correct size according to the chart, but now that they are here, unwrapped, and inflated, maybe the twin XLs would have fit a little better length-wise? Not a big deal for us, though...the foot of the bed is covered in sheets/blankets anyway, so it's not worth time or effort to exchange over a couple inches...but this is just a heads up for others who have different taste in firmness levels and want to try doing the same. Wait for the occasional $50 off and splurge. I think these mattresses are definitely worth it!
Thank you so much for sharing your experience, Becker! We're thrilled that both you and your husband are sleeping better and enjoying your customized firmness levels—that's exactly what we hope for with our mattresses. It's great to know the firm and medium combo is working so well for you both. We also really appreciate your note about sizing. While two standard twins do match the width of a king, you're right that Twin XLs are typically a better fit lengthwise for most king platforms. Your feedback is super helpful for others considering the same setup.
Poorly assembled
Hotel premier hybrid firm mattress. I purchased this mattress about 5 months ago and immediately noticed it was crooked the foam and coils didn't line up on some of the edges which resulted in one side of the mattress having no coils under the foam and caused it to gave way as soon as you sat on the edge. Husband already fell off the bed twice because of this, but the only reason we kept this long is because it took us so long to look for a mattress in the first place, we live 24 miles away from the store, and retuning it required us finding time and a vehicle big enough to transport back to the store. When you lie on the bed where all layers line up it is actually very comfortable which is why we found this so dissapointing going through the hassle of returning it and looking for a different mattress which we are still in the process of. If i could be garanteed this wouldn't happen again I would probably get it again since it was comfortable, but buying it and having to return it again if it comes out poorly assembled again is just not something I want to deal with.
Hi May, thank you for taking the time to share your experience with us. I'm truly sorry to hear about the issues you've encountered with your mattress. It’s clear that the misalignment of the foam and coils has caused significant inconvenience and frustration, and I completely understand how disappointing this must be—especially after the effort you put into selecting a mattress and the challenges involved in returning it. We appreciate your honest feedback, and I want to assure you that this is not the standard we strive for. Your comfort and safety are extremely important to us, and we take quality concerns like this very seriously. To help resolve this, I’d like to offer the following options: Return Assistance: If you prefer to return the mattress, you can contact customer service at the Club and help you with a return. New Mattress: We are happy to send you a new mattress to replace this one. Please let us know which option works best for you, or if there’s anything else we can do to make this right. Your comfort and satisfaction are our top priorities, and we’d love the opportunity to restore your trust in our products.
Misleading Advertising, Poor Quality
We purchased this mattress in Decembrr 1st, specifically because Sam’s Club stated it would arrive before we left for a month-long vacation. That turned out to be completely false. When we realized the delivery would be late, we attempted to stop it, but Sam’s Club’s customer service was an absolute nightmare—outsourced to a call center where communication was difficult, and in the end, they were completely useless. No surprise there—Sam’s Club’s delivery service is notoriously bad. Major Sizing & Build Quality Issues When we finally set up the mattress in January, we immediately noticed serious problems. It’s not even a true king size—it’s 3 inches too short and 1.5 inches too narrow. On top of that, the coil springs were sticking out on the ends and sides, making it uncomfortable and even painful to get in and out of bed. It feels like they forgot to add the edge band, making this mattress look and feel cheap and poorly constructed. False Advertising – NOT a Tempur-Pedic Alternative Sam’s Club advertises this mattress as comparable to the Tempur-Pedic Adapt Hybrid ($3,200 retail price)—but that’s completely misleading. My wife and I went to test the real Tempur-Pedic in-store, and there is absolutely no comparison. The Sam’s Club mattress lacks the comfort, support, and durability of a high-quality mattress. It’s just a cheap knockoff designed to trick buyers into thinking they’re getting a premium product. Deceptive Business Claims Even worse, Sam’s Club’s ad claims this company has been in business for 140 years—but in reality, they’ve only been making mattresses for a few years. This is just another marketing gimmick meant to mislead consumers. Final Verdict: A Complete Waste of Money This mattress is low-quality, falsely advertised, and sold at a price that tricks people into thinking it’s high-end. Between the delivery issues, false claims, and poor construction, this has been a frustrating experience from start to finish. If you’re considering buying this mattress from Sam’s Club—DON’T. Save yourself the hassle and look elsewhere.
Thank you for bringing this to our attention, and I’m truly sorry to hear about the issues you've experienced with your mattress. That’s definitely not the quality we aim to provide, and I understand how frustrating and disappointing this must be. The discrepancies in size and the exposed coil springs you described are serious concerns, and we’d like to make this right. Could you please provide your order number and any photos of the mattress showing the sizing or spring issues? This will help us investigate the matter further and offer you the best possible resolution—whether that’s a replacement, or refund. Again, I sincerely apologize for the inconvenience. We’re committed to ensuring your satisfaction and look forward to resolving this promptly. Please go to the Customer Service at the Club where this was purchased so the team can help you!
Medium is comfortable but too firm 4 side sleeper
Ordered the "medium" version first. We are going to return it and exchange for the plush. My wife is a side sleeper, and I am a back sleeper. So, we're trying to find the "middle ground" where we're both comfortable. I will update this review (or post a second review) once we get the Plush version in. That said, the bed is comfortable and seems to be well made. We've been on it about a month now, and while we do like it, the medium is just too firm. We're 5'7"/5'10", and ~130-170 lbs. Hoping the Plush version is softer. That said, I called Sam's club service number. They are having someone come pick up the mattress. This is great customer service. In the meantime, I have ordered the plush. I'm hoping for the best, but also I am purchasing confidently because of the great customer service I just received.
Firm was the right choice
This is my initial reaction; we chose the Queen Firm - I was worried about the firmness (specifically that the mattress would be way too soft). The rating scale of 1-10 seemed subjective (Medium was 5-6 & Firm was 7-8). Our old traditional mattress was called ‘Firm’ by Sealy and it felt like lying on a brick while sleeping even though there was a cushioned feel if you pushed down while standing next to the bed. My wife and I are in our 60’s and have developed shoulder pain recently from sleeping on that mattress. The Members Mark Hybrid ’Firm’ is perfect … stable but like a pillow-top topper that gives for comfort and support but gently firm below. In the box it was very heavy but unboxing was easy. The air rushed in quickly when vacuum seal was opened and it came into shape quick. Two of the corners aren’t perfect but it’s not a glaring defect - just a small folded and puckered spot. It’s going to be covered by sheets and blankets so it is a big non-issue. The cooling top is nice. I reasoned that we’ll spend 30% of our lives on this mattress so it will be worth the investment to be comfortable. If our sleep experience isn’t good then I’ll update my review but so far - I think this mattress and firmness choice will turn out to be perfect.
Thank you so much for sharing your initial impressions of the Queen Firm Member’s Mark Hybrid mattress. We’re thrilled to hear that it’s meeting your expectations so far—especially after your concerns about firmness and your past experience with overly hard mattresses. It’s great to know that the balance of support and comfort is working well for both you and your wife, and that the mattress is helping to relieve the shoulder discomfort you previously experienced. We also appreciate your comments on the unboxing process and the cooling top—those details really help others understand what to expect. Regarding the slightly puckered corners, we’re glad to hear it’s not a major issue for you, but if it ever becomes a concern, please don’t hesitate to reach out. We’re always here to help. We hope the mattress continues to provide restful, rejuvenating sleep for years to come. And if you do have any updates down the line, we’d love to hear them!
Great mattress :)
Purchased the "firm" version of this mattress a couple of weeks ago. Slept on it for 5 days now. Very comfortable, and the cooling top is great! "Firm" = support and a little give. Definitely not a hard mattress. No harsh smells were noticeable when the mattress was unwrapped. The box was a little beat up but the mattress was not affected. I would purchase again. Melissa H.
We're so glad you're enjoying the firmness and cooling top of our mattress, Mel! Thank you so much for the 5-star recommendation!
