No problems putting it together. Everything fit really well. Make sure it’s square. My only complaint is that it is steel and not aluminum so it has the potential to rust. We put silicone in the holes with bolts. We bolted it to the concrete with 1 anchor per pole

Great Pergola, and a great value for the price. Very solid components, well-packaged and delivered. You should note that it comes in two boxes, each of which is over 200 lbs, so you should be prepared ahead of time in terms of where the delivery folks will place it, and what you will do with it at that point. The boxes can be moved with a decent hand-truck. Or, you can open them up and take the individual components out for storage in a garage, etc. until you're ready to assemble your Pergola. There are A LOT of individual parts. It all goes together well, the instructions are good, and the BILT app is helpful, but only when used in concert with the instructions. The only negative to the entire thing is that the estimate of 1.5 hours to assemble is preposterous! There are exactly 169 individual fasteners to install, and each of the support pieces the make up this structure are comprised of 2-3 individual pieces, so even at a mere 1-minute each to place the parts together, and 1-minute to line-up the fastener and tighten it into place, that comes out to 5.6 hours. Add to that having to keep moving the ladder and so forth, plus the time to simply lay-out and identify all of the different parts, and you have the 8-hours that it took us to install this. So I'd plan on that. You can do it with 2 people except for standing up the 2 ends and getting the cross-beams attached to them. So the 3rd person is really only needed for that aspect, FYI. So other than it indeed taking a full day to install, it all went together well, and smoothly, and we couldn't be more pleased with the structure. The textilene roof panels are really well-made and the whole thing is very nice quality - not cheap or flimsy at all. I highly recommend this unit - just plan for a full-day to set it up. And having two ladders (like we did) is a help.

This is a WELL made pergola. It's structurally solid, strong all around. And the canopies across the top are fabulous. There are 3 if them. There's a very sturdy, made of fabric handle you use to pull the canopies open or closed. One end is bolted to frame the other end (when closed) stays closed because of a strong magnet. It seems they've thought of everything. We love, love, love it.

Very good quality. We are glad we bought it. Had an issue with a couple bolts. The white coating on the steel parts made some of the bolts very tight going in causing one of them to strip the female threads on one of the braces. I found that spraying a little teflon lubricant on the bolt and in the bolt hole solved the issue. Work the bolt back and forth a few times and it will go in easily. This should be included in the instructions. I contacted the customer service phone number. Ordered a replacement part and it arrived in one week. Was very happy with the experience. Suggestion: Take your time. Review the instructions completely before you begin the assembly. Lay out and organize all the parts, especially the small parts - bolts washers, etc.

Beautiful pergola and easy instructions. With two people it took us about 6 hours to set up. It looks fantastic!

Study the instructions a few times so you understand exactly how to put it together before you start. I used a socket wrench instead of their wrench. Have to be very careful not to over tighten the bolts. All the parts were there. They even supply extra parts on another card! Was impressed with the quality of the product! All the holes lined up. It is very sturdy. The steel is thicker than I expected. The shade cloth is not as dense as I was expecting but does cut the desert heat down pretty good. It covers our 12 x 16 patio perfectly. Everything was packed perfectly in two boxes. 3 of us put it together. Best to have two people, one on each side to install the roof. 4 people to set up the frame. Very happy with the purchase!

So here you have it. Purchased this pergola 1 month ago and Finally put it together since I had to do footings since I plan to add pavers in the future. The pergola is great for the price since it’s metal and it’s 12x16. It did come with a few light chips here and there but it’s understandable since it’s so heavy. You would think the seller would send touch up paint. I was missing a few washers and a few white caps. I called the number to request those pieces and paint but they informed me that they will send the pieces but they don’t carry touch up paint. Furthermore, the directions are somewhat vague. It amazes me how someone can design and create something but can’t write simple directions. My recommendation is to read the directions and use the Bilt app in conjunction. I purchased some Rust Olem paint and touched it up where it needed. Overall, I’m very happy with it and would definitely recommend it. I’ve attached some pictures for your viewing.

Beautiful pergola! It took a lot of work to get it together, but directions were good and parts were all labeled well. It took 2 of us 7 hours to get it all together. Parts are machined well but there are small areas of some of the pieces that did not get painted or were chipped in shipping. This is the reason I did not give 5 stars. They graciously provide extra parts for future use; some touch up paint would be a great add.

Overall very good . Easy to do inventory because every thing was marked clearly . I had two issue . First was not enough flat washers . I had to buy over 100 more to complete project . Second had to do with the dun shade. The shade itself is 24 inches wide . The center shade fit perfectly the outer two are the same size but the outer tracks are only 23.5 inches wide. I will need to modify the track position and that means a lot of disassembly and reassembly.

Unfortunately, when it was assembled it was discovered that the order was mixed up and came in two colors. Returning it would mean i have to pay for assembly again and of course there is the issue of the wait for the items to be returned and redelivered weeks later. Customer service wasn’t helpful, all in all a very disappointing experience.
