Let's face it, turkey sausage is never going to taste as good as pork sausage. Pork sausage has a savoriness that turkey sausage lacks. However, at less than half the calories, turkey sausage is a whole lot better than no sausage. To put it into perspective, I can have two pork sausage patties and two large eggs for 420 calories or two turkey sausage patties and equivalent egg whites for less than 200 calories. On a weekend, I might go for the gusto with eggs and pork sausage but it is a wonderful option during the week to have a couple of turkey sausage patties with scrambled egg whites rather than a SlimFast or shredded wheat cereal.

These taste great, fast & easy to heat up, and are somewhat healthy with the TURKEY version. Note the pork version looks very similar. I also prefer the patties over the links, but both turkey versions are really good. Only complaint is I wish there were fewer red pepper flakes. Some get a little spicy. But they are much milder than many sausages on the market.

They taste OK it’s just the texture is a bit weird for me, but maybe that’s because I’ve only cooked them in an air fryer. Cooking by air fryer makes them a bit spongy when you buy into them. Maybe if you fry them in a pan they will be a bit crisp on the outside. There’s a little bit of spice to it, but it’s not spicy just a tiny little kick and they have a smoky flavor. They’re just very convenient, especially if you have children. It’s a fast food item to prepare.

My family and I LOVE these! They can be cooked from frozen or defrosted, in either a stovetop pan or microwave. Flavor is fabulous; not greasy, just enough spice, tiny spicy note in the finish, excellent texture. Plus, healthy and don’t have a high fat content like most sausage.

I prefer the Turkey links compared to the Turkey flat sausage and these aren’t wide enough in diameter to fill a whole English muffin or bagel. Because of that, it makes for a messier sandwich. The taste is good, it’s just aggravating it doesn’t fit.

I buy these sausages to help my kids complete their before school breakfast. Jimmy Dean is quality and tasty Turkey sausage. It gives the kids some fat and protein since cereal doesn’t last long. I prefer these in a link but I usually only find the patties at my local Sam’s.

It’s a great choice if you’re not big on high quality food and are just trying to maintain a healthy diet with sustenance. I probably won’t be purchasing again because it was fairly bland and tough/dry in texture. A homemade version with the ground turkey I bought was much more flavorful and less dry

First time buying this item from Sam’s. I usually buy the large bag from the grocery store, which I didn’t mind doing, but I did not realize how that way of packaging creates weirdly shaped patties after having been frozen and makes cooking them less perfect. The packaging that Sam’s provides is a box of sausage patties that come individually, vacuum sealed, with four in each little package. Whoa! This ensures each patty is completely flat which makes cooking them so much more even and better.

I was not a fan of these. A lot of bites had big chunks of hard grit to them - dangerous for your teeth and kind of disgusting. Flavor is just average or below. I will not be purchasing these again. Was hoping they would be a good option being healthier turkey meat but I would pass.

I used to buy the Swaggerty breakfast sausage that I loved. When you quit carrying them I found these Jimmy Dean breakfast sausages. They are already fully cooked, so it saves me a lot of time and mess. Wish there were available in the spicy variety.
