It goes together easy but The stringers go only across and a true box spring has 4 inch squares across the whole top that the mattress sits on. With this you have to put 1/2 plywood on top of it to hold the mattress correctly. This is only good to put a conventional box spring on it.

As soon as I opened the box spring mattress I could smell a funky odor. I aired the box spring out in the garage thinking the smell had gone away. Once I brought it upstairs my 3 year old daughter was so excited for her “big bed”. I put the bed in her room and let her sleep on it. By the morning her room had the smell of a musty or moldy smell. She also had developed some type of cough within this time. I called customer service to tell them what was going on with the box spring. They had told me that unfortunately they will just have to investigate the purchase. Investigate. Like I was lying about the smell and the health of my child. I asked them to please come pick up the mattress and box spring. The customer service agent told me someone will just have to get back to me. All I wanted was a new one. Still no phone call, reply or answer. So now I have a twin bed I paid $300 for that I can’t do anything with and I have to buy something new. On top of it go the the dr for this mysterious cough my daughter now has. Overall not happy with the way sams club is going about the whole situation and I have never had a problem beforehand with them. And as a business owner we purchase all of our supplies from there. Not impressed.

Every box spring should be made like this. The old-style one-piece box springs are garbage compared to this one, especially if you have an L-shaped stair, winder, or any other spatial challenge. I just bought this for my older daugther's room, and though my younger daughter has a relatively new box spring (under a Zinus mattress) I'm even considering replacing her box spring since it's ridiculously loud (just getting in & out it squeaks something fierce). If you have any sort of curve in your layout or tight space this box spring will outperform the conventional styles we used to settle for- if you don't have these challenges, get this anyway as it will still make your life easier than dealing with the traditional behemoth.

Im just waiting for the week to be up so I can try to get another one sent. My 12 inch pressure relief green tea mattress is 10 inches at best the corners are curled up and the smell is nauseating. I have aired it out as best as I can but the smell is still there. I have to change my sheets every day cause it sticks to them. My whole room smells sickening. I'd like to give it another try and fingers crossed I can get the one that other people have reviewed with no or little smell and original shape and size..

This box spring frame is a miracle! I have a miniature (short) stairway. A regular queen box spring would not fit down it. Zinus, Jayanna was the answer! It arrived in a timely manner, great condition and was awesome to set up. Really sturdy, 15 minute set up from box opening to on the frame. Highly recommend! Make your life easy! As a single woman don’t rangle a queen box spring, order Zinus!

We bought our second mattress because we upgraded from a queen to a king. This time we added the box spring to our purchase and it’s one of the best decisions we’ve ever made. This mattress is comfortable, the box spring is heavy duty, and we are going to be Zinus customers for a long time. We could not be happier.

The craziest thing of this BiFold Box Sping is the Assembly process. It took me less than 5 minutes to break the box seal, unpack each of the Boxes, Lay them on the wooden slats of my Bed and unfold them to zip the clothing cover. And I'm pretty sure, It will take the same amount of time to pack them when moving as well. Don't hesitate. Just get this Box Spring and leave everything else to Zinus.

So many mixed reviews about this product. I honestly was nervous ordering it. But after such terrible service and false delivery promises by brick and mortar mattress stores, I hit the internet. I ordered the folding frame and the 12" queen green tea mattress. The boxes were promptly delivered (I received the boxes 3 days after ordering) via FedEx. I did have to enlist the help of a friend to get the boxes not only into the front door but up some stairs. The boxes are heavy and large. However unpacking and setting up were a one woman job and I was able to set up on my own. I have no idea the sorcery that goes into the folding frame. With a quick unfold and a zip up it was ready to go. The mattress was also a quick release from its plastic wrap. I left the mattress alone for 2 days before putting bedding on it and sleeping on it. The mattress reached its full 12" the same day as unpacking it. NOTE OF FULL DISCLOSURE for future buyers: I am only 2 weeks into sleeping on the bed and mattress, but these 2 weeks have been excellent! So comfortable! My first impression was that it was too firm for a back sleeper like myself, but that is not the case. I really hope these products last several years. So far so good and I have no regrets!

Husband falls asleep in 2 seconds. I'm still a little restless, just because I tend to think about why we waited so long. All I want to do is be in my bed and on the weekends i make time to get a nap in. Earlier I told my coworkers, "I think my mattress is making me lazy because I just want to be wrapped up in the comfort." My lower back pain is gone! Yay! We will definitely be purchasing this brand for our kiddos soon. Thanks Zinus for an Amazing quality product at an outstanding affordable price. After adding the Zinus boxspring, our mattress felt much more firm and supported. Besides putting us at the right height so our pillows would not get wedged between the mattress and headboard, we slept much better than just with the mattress by itself. It was fairly easy to unfold and get onto bed frame with one person.
