They are stretchy but snug. They don't rip on the sides like others i have tried. As far as absorbency, that works very well to. No leaking on the edges. Have been plagued with a weak bladder all my life - Go about every hour and sometimes the bladder just contracts and gushes out - These are great during the day and hold 2 wetting accident - No longer have to stop and go on a tree when driving. They feel so good and soothing after relieving myself. Sadly they do not protect at night as well. They do leak so I wear a more absorbent diaper then.
