Bought this as a replacement for an old Atomic Clock that quit working. Setup was quick and easy. It linked up with the sensor from my wireless thermometer right away (same sensor unit). The only disappointing thing which may be a deal breaker for me is that this clock doesn't display 24 hr mode. La Crosse has cheaped out on the lower priced clocks with outdoor temps and doesn't have 24 hr mode. If you're looking for a clock with 24 hr mode, you have to buy the expensive models if you want the ones with the outdoor temps, or settle for the one without the outdoor temps for the cheaper price.

I purchased the La Crosse Technology Curved Digital Atomic Wall Clock model S74870 to replace a previous La Crosse clock that served me well for many years. I specifically chose an atomic clock to avoid manually setting the time, particularly during daylight saving changes. For the first year, it worked as expected, automatically adjusting for daylight saving time while reliably connected in my bathroom, where it has been easy to see and convenient for everyday use. Recently, after changing the batteries for the second time—since I use rechargeables—the clock suddenly stopped connecting to the atomic signal. I tried multiple troubleshooting steps, including relocating it near an outside window to maximize its connection strength, but it still refused to sync. Despite having never needed to manually set it until now, the clock no longer updates, which defeats the purpose of an atomic clock entirely. To make matters worse, when I reached out to customer support for warranty service, I was greeted by an automated message about high call volumes and instructed to leave my contact information. I’m still waiting to hear back. Unless they replace this unit, my opinion stands—a one-star rating for a device with a disappointingly short lifespan. La Crosse has let me down with this model, and I’d recommend looking elsewhere if you want a truly reliable atomic clock.

At this price, I didn't expect too much. It has a large, easy to read display, the usual atomic features plus moon phase and outdoor temperature. Very well made, and the clock receives atomic updates and the outdoor temperature updates in my concrete basement. Great job Sam's Club
