I found the addition of the Febreeze to really help with odor control of the litter and the room I keep the box in and my cat doesnt mind it either.

we have 10 cats and go thru a lot of kitty litter, with the extreme fresh step we have way less dust

I use the litter with febreze and if you could not see our cat you would not know we had one. It is easy to clean and love the smell.
