[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Purchased this (free with Fresh Step Paw Points!) and it really is an excellent litter, especially for multiple cats. Each has their own box but do share at times. Great product and I highly recommend.

This version clumps really well. It does cover the odor of my cat's urine. However, when poured it has a large cloud of dust and very intense febreze smell. While you would think this would be a good thing, the smell also sticks to my cats and can be nauesating after a while.

I was interested in the Febreze feature of it because Febreze has such a great reputation and truly traps and kills smells! This litter did not disappoint! Found my new version of Fresh Step to use!!!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I have tried over a dozen different types and brands of Fresh Step trying to determine which on I like best and FINALLY, this is one that I absolutely love!!! My cat has GI issues and has some fowl smelling bowel movements and since using this, I cannot smell anything!!! This litter clumps perfectly, you're able to smell febreze slightly, the litter is not messy, and so many more wonderful characteristics.

Our kitty Beady loves to kneed and step into Fresh Step! The new less dusty formula is a real treat to our lungs, and our lives. The household is far less dusty as a result. No one has ever even noticed we have a cat box (or at least if they have, they haven't said anything!) After my wife taught me the trick of lifting the Johnny Cat liner to shuffle the clumps, cleaning the box is now a real treat. Everyone should love this litter like our Beady does.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I love Fresh Step cat litter! It clumps when soiled for easy scooping. Has great odor control so you dont smell the litter box and is great even for multiple cats. Its a great high quality litter your cat is sure to love!

Although I have one cat, he has a great deal of urine output due to his health issues. I needed to change to a litter with better odour control; if I could find litter with lower tracking, it would be a bonus. I used to be a data analyst, so I set about researching the options, making a spreadsheet, and being very methodical. I narrowed it the top three choices, and my partner and I agreed on Fresh Strep Extreme with Febreze as the winner. My cat is laid back as far as changing litters, so we figured we'd try it out and change if this didn't suit our needs. We tried it and it's been AMAZING! Due to surgery, I haven't been able to scoop as often as I'd like, but the odour control is still awesome. Last night, a friend came over and scooped for me, and she even commented on how great the litter is. I don't see myself changing from this.

I agree with other posters that this cat litter has declined in quality. As a fresh step user for over 29 years, there is a distinct decline in clumping agent used. My last cat box clean-out, the litter didn't clump- I had to shovel out what compared to unclumped sand. I will be actively seeking another brand.

I have been using Fresh Step for 25+ years and it is the only litter I will use. Then came the Extreme Scented Litter with Febreze, which I really like. With 2 active cats, it really does fight the odors of the litter box, which they both use. I will always continue to use this product.
