I like this, I think it works within the home to keep odors at bay. However, there is a slight "below the nose" smell. I'm not sure how to describe it. Even though the litter doesn't have a blatant scent, I can always tell when my cat is close to me if he has just visited his litter box. And no matter how they write "Less tracking" on the box, the litter really tracks.

I JUST PURCHASED 2 BOXES OF THE FRESH STEP EXTREME LITTER WITH FEBREZE A COUPLE OF WEEKS AGO. PRIOR TO THE PURCHASE I WOULD USE LITTER FRAGRANCE PELLETS AFTER A FEW DAYS OF SCOOPING TO HELP REDUCE THE ODOR AND EXTEND THE USE OF THE LITTER. I KNOW I WILL NOT HAVE TO MAKE THE ADDITIONAL PELLETS PURCHASE NOW: THIS LITTER REALLY HOLDS UP VERY WELL TO USE BYOF 3 KITTIES!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] We adopted a 10 week old kitten back in April and have been using this cat litter since we brought him home. With him being a kitten, he uses the litter box quite frequently and having a scented cat litter was a must. He has never had a problem and the scent is not too strong. It is just the right amount to mask the smell without bothering your nose. It does a great job of covering the smell for roughly 5-7 days.

I have been using Fresh Step Extreme with Febreze for several months now, and it is still the best litter on the market. It was the best even before it was made nearly dust-free and the Febreze was added, but it is so much better now. The dust doesn't get in my cats' eyes nor does it get all over everything in the vicinity of the litter box any more. The scent is lovely, so we (I and my 2 cats) are deliriously happy with it.

We really like the 34lb extreme Fresh Step litter for the smaller packages and for the quality! I have a touchy back, and being able to pour in one package into a larger litter bin we have instead of having all these extra containers and heavier packages to deal with is really great. I scoop the litter for our two cats every other day, and then add two new cup fulls of litter to the pan. The extreme scent is great for blocking odors and everyone that comes to my house can't tell I have litter at the bottom of the stairs. It clumps very well and almost immediately, so that also helps block the smell. It doesn't have a lot of dust either, which surprised me because most litters do, and it's awful. Our two cats love a clean box and run after I clean it. Great product! We also love the paw points program, which we can use to actually get another litter for free, or toys, or donate points to shelters who then buy what they need. I love all the options for paw points!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Been using the new fresh step with febreze and couldn't be happier! Much lower dust than the past styles and the addition of febreze helps with containing any odors without the use of perfumes which I am allergic too. Highly recommend.

The clumping component is fantastic because I have to keep count of the litter box activity due to my kitty being diabetic. The scent on the other hand is too strong and overwhelming, which I imagine is not healthy for her or anyone. I've just discovered other unscented options which we will try. Also there's still too much tracking all over the home...
