It has a pleasant smell when you pour it into the litter box. It also eliminates smells when the kitty uses the litter box.

on my 2nd box of this flavor. best of all the Fresh Step litters I have tried for controlling odors.

I waited a little too long to scoop my litter, but you never would have known because there was absolutely no bad smell.

We have been buying this litter for over two years now and we have 4 cats. We love how it keeps odor down and is easy to sift out.
