I bought this because I've used different Fresh Step products and wanted to try a new scent. This one wasn't too strong that it overloaded the air but subtle enough to cover the cat poo and have a nice scent when they mixed the litter meaning you don't need cat litter deodorizer.

I've been using this cat litter since i got my first kitten a little over a year ago. It's great at blocking odors and I never have issues cleaning it out. I live in an apartment so keeping odors down in a small space can be tough, using this litter I never have any issues.

HOWEVER, the packaging is nightmarish, which is why I gave it three stars. Carrying it can be a (literal) pain (I understand nothing can be done about how much litter weighs, which I'm not complaining about) because the edges of the box are so sharp. It's also incredibly difficult to open; it usually takes me about five minutes because there's so much glue. If the packaging was changed (plastic tub with screw on lid?) I wouldn't think twice about giving it five stars. Please consider a packaging change, Fresh Step!

I have been using Fresh Step cat litter for years. I'm not picky about which one I pick as far as multiple cat, odor shield or whichever as long as it's Fresh Step. I actually had a new friend who visited my house weekly for several weeks before she found out I had cats, she was amazed because my house doesn't smell like I have cats when you walk in…thanks to Fresh Step. I love the new 38# 4-packs. I bought my first one this week. I only have one cat right now and it's so easy to freshen up the litter with one of the four packs instead of opening a large box. This is my new go-to size.

I have used nothing but Fresh Step for 20+ years and have changed to a different variety as the products have evolved and been improved. the scent with this product is not overpowering and truly eliminates the odor from use of the litter box by my two cats. i am a fuss budget though, and do clean it daily (and sometimes more often).

I have a multicast household, and it really does offer 10 days of odor protection. Love the individual bags, makes it much easier to fill the litter boxes.

This was the very very best litter you could buy, it cost more but was so worth it. The entire formula changed. The biggest feature of having that perfumey odors for many days is gone. Next day the litter box stinks. Also the granules seem to be absorbing the moisture in the air as it looks more like clay after 2 days in the areas never having any urine on it. There is no way I am staying with this product after 8 long years of loyalty and will save a ton of money to get something equivalent to the performance of this

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I have four cats and you cannot even tell because of the great smelling Fresh Step cat litter with Febreze. I would never buy anything but this Extreme with Febreze or the Multi Cat. I definitely recommend this to anyone, especially if you have more than one cat.

After several attempts at other formulas and products, the Fresh Step Extreme with Febreze seems to do the best job of odor control. I have 2 cats who use one litter box and 14 # of litter does a good job for about a week before I have to replace it with fresh.

After experimenting with all different brands of litter, Tidy Cats Extreme is definitely offers the longest-lasting freshness out of everything I tried! I can get through a whole box of this stuff and never notice a smell. Clumps hard, so the waste doesn't stay in with the litter that's still being used. Once it's time to buy a new box of litter, I change the last little bit of litter in the pan. No odors, and never much unused litter!
