My two shelter (litter mate) kitties (now 1.5 yrs) have unbelievably strong BMs and apparently always will. After multiple vet visits, diet changes, prescription diets and even eventually settling on a "limited ingredient" diet as well as trying every single kind of litter that promised to get rid of "litter odor," this has been the only thing that's worked. Sometimes it can get a little bit too dusty and it's not the cheapest litter option, but it's definitely worth it and I don't see myself changing litters ANY time soon!

I bought this a few weeks ago after getting my first kitten after exploring a few litters. When I tell you this stuff masked every single smell that comes out of him, I mean it. I decided to try another brand after this and you could smell this difference after only a day. I’ll never stray from this again!

As a pet sitter, I have the opportunity to "try out" many different litters without actually buying them. I love when my clients use Fresh Step cat litter because it is the best! It clumps hard and does not crumble. It really controls odor in the house and the cats like it too. I use this at home for my 15 cats and you would never know I had that many if you walked into my house. Fresh Step cat litter is the reason. An added bonus is that when the cats scratch to cover their mess, it releases Fabreeze scent into the air! I recommend this litter to all my friends and clients!

I recently tried tidy cats again after years of using fresh step to save a few bucks...it was a bad idea. Tidy cats does not stay clumped and falls apart when trying to scoop. Fresh step with febreze clumps well and smells fantastic. I have 3 cats and this is my new go to.

My friend recommended the Fresh Step Extreme formula and I was very happy with the results. It's easy to scoop and it really keeps the odor in. My house smells great and my kitty is happy, I couldn't ask for more!

Within minutes of my cats using it the odors would overwhelm an entire room. The ability to control the smells is lost with the Febreze. So we switched to the Triple Action and are loving it. I would definitely recommend the Triple action rather than the Extream w/ Febreze

I have 3 cats and did not notice a difference with the febreeze scented version from the unscented or other iterations. It's the Fresh Step I've come to expect, but it cost more than the other varieties. I'll get it if it doesn't cost extra, but until then, will stick to the original.

Very good clumping, doesn't track much, dust seems to be gradually getting less across all of the FreshStep clumping varieties. But my wife has a very sensitive nose and dislikes the scent. It isn't completely overwhelming so your mileage may vary, but it is noticable even to me. Also, all three of our cats kinda of sniffed at it and looked at me as if to say "it this really necessary?". All of us prefer the FreshStep Extreme UNSCENTED variety.
