Great picture and sound, but interface is meh!

I just renewed my Sam's membership, so why not upgrade my TV? I went from a 40 inch to 43 inch, so not a huge size difference (and the super thin frame only added maybe an inch on the side and top, so my cute gallery wall wasn't messed up from the larger TV), but the 4K is awesome! Even better, my Vizio sound bar I got a year ago sound so much better than my old Samsung TV. Something about HDMI and Audio Return Channel over the optical audio...whatever that is, my boyfriend hooked it up! Part of the reason I wanted this TV was the remote had Hulu on it. Well, nope, the pictures are wrong, it's some Samsung app and when you turn on the TV it goes directly to a news channel and I am already depressed enough with what the world is going through now. The interface is clunky, slow to respond and then Hulu just won't work now. So I invested in another AppleTV - this one 4K since I have an older version that predates 4K. The interface still tries to take over though. I like that I can now have my Echo Dot turn the TV and sound bar on and off. So other than a bad interface and the fact that my order went to the wrong Sam's Club, I'm happy with my purchase. This is my third Samsung, but first smart TV, but nowadays they are all smart, so still sticking with the AppleTV.

Horrible remote......

I've only had this television a few days so I am hoping I can learn to at least like the remote. I have no complaints about the TV itself and how easy it was to get it connected and working. However, the remote almost makes me want to return the television. The buttons are ridiculously small. There should be a designated Hulu button since there's one for Netflix and Amazon. It is a huge task to even get to Hulu due to the difficulty navigating on this television. Maybe I am just spoiled by the Roku and its simplicity that I've been using for the past 5 years. I am very satisfied with the picture and sound quality but I am not loving the remote. I would have given 5 stars if the remote made more sense.

Airplay stopped working immediately

I bought this particular tv for the Apple airplay capabilities, hoping I wouldn't have to buy an external device to stream from my laptop. After about 5 times working poorly it stopped altogether. So now I'll have to run through service to figure out why their tv won't work as advertised.

Home Screen Sucks

We got this Samsung, because the older Samsung in our living room is still going strong and the picture is still great. But this new Samsung doesn't measure up at all. We had to play around with the picture settings quite a bit, and now the picture is pretty fair (but still not as good as our older Samsung). The worst thing though, is the home screen. We don't have cable or any kind of dish tv anymore; we subscribe to YouTube TV. We added the YouTube TV app to the home screen line-up, but by default it went to the far right end of all the icons. We also use Prime TV, and once in awhile the regular YouTube. So those three are the only ones we care about. I looked up instructions online, how to remove unwanted apps from the line-up. It said to go to settings, select the app, hit the down button, then choose delete. When I try that, I get a pop-up notice saying that the lineup of apps that came with the tv can't be deleted. So.....there is also an option to 'move' them. I tried that as well. I moved the three apps I watch to the front. But then when I click back to the home screen, there they are still in the ORIGINAL order. Basically, I hate navigating this stupid screen. And what's worse, is every time we turn on the tv, the 'Samsung tv' channel defaults to on. We checked out the whole channel lineup for the Samsung tv app, and there is nothing we want to watch there. It's just a bunch of poor substitute clones of other better channels available with other, better services (such as YouTube TV). The fact that the Samsung channels are all free should tell you something. Bottom line, we'll keep the tv because we live in the boonies and had it shipped. It's 110 miles to the nearest store to buy a tv. We actually also ordered the 65" in this same tv (for another room in our basement), but it came with the screen crushed at the top. So we are sending that back, and not getting a replacement. For that room, we'll look for a Roku TV instead. We already have a Roku tv in one of our bedrooms, and we love that home screen. You can add or take away any apps that you want on the home screen, and it's way more straight forward to navigate. Ok, that's it. Sorry for the long review, but this tv is not at all what we'd hoped for. We'll probably end up getting one of the little usb roku players for it, so we can use it that way instead.

Ok

Its ok. What I learned was, look for a tv that says on the box: 5.1 dolby surround if you want to enjoy good sound with it. This had ARC which is not very good. You have to buy an ARC speaker set separately and that means its only 2 speakers and kind of low quality sound at that. I wouldn't chose another with ARC, when I listen to Outlander, I want full fascinating sound with it and this didn't cut it. The receiver and surround system I have, it just doesn't work with it.

Great Picture But Worthless Apps You Can't Delete

Picture and sound quality is great but I have to look at 13 worthless apps I can not delete or move off the home screen. Sad that companies force crap on you that I would never ever use. Even the remote has Netflix and Prime buttons that just get in the way. I don't use those pathetic apps! Is there any good quality TV companies that thinks about the consumer first and letting them make their own decisions of what apps they would use? Next TV will definitely be a different brand

This product has a very good picture quality

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Love all the features that come with this product. I have it in my bedroom and wall mounted. The remote is very easy to select your cable provider or connect to your wifi programs or apps. This was my first samsung tv and will not be my last. Looking to add the 65” model in my living room. My family loves the picture quality it's so clean and clear.

Nice TV!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This TV is really better than I thought it was going to be. First, it has clips to keep the cord from being seen or in the way which is nice, and i like the way the legs are designed if you choose to not hang it up. The coolest thing I think is that I can just tap the back of my galaxy phone to the edge of the TV to screen share easily. It comes with a ton of Samsung channels, along with all of the typical apps that smart tvs have. The sound is great, picture is clear, it is quick to respond to commands, and I am really happy with this Samsung smart TV.

Sports are Fuzzy and Universal Remote is Wonky

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Overall this is a great TV for the value. However, sports (which move quickly) become a bit fuzzy and pixelated. Additionally the "universal" remote is very wonky. I use the optic input for a soundbar and it frequently loses connection and I have to turn the TV and bar off and back on to have them function.I've never been able to get the remote to pair with my Xfinity cable box and the Apple TV doesn't like it much either.

All around perfect TV

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] What a great TV. Super light, easy to position on a stand or hang. Amazing picture and surprisingly good sound. Couldn't be happier with our purchase. Have recommended to 2 others who've purchased this TV as well and they love it.
