my new samsung 50 tv is awesome. great picture which adjusts automatically to the room lighting. samsung gives you tons of free content with samsungtv, tubi, and more. browses the internet great and plays videos from the internet great. seamless integration with amazon prime video, netflix, hulu ....

Broke after 10 days

bought this on 12/12/20 and while watching netflix the tv suddenly turned off. then it started flickering, turning on and off every 10 seconds. i couldn't do anything about it so i am simply just going to return it. the date that it broke was 12/22/20, it only took 10 days to break.

BenC: Thank you for purchasing the Samsung TU7000 TV. I am sorry to hear that you are experiencing a power cycling issue where your TV is turning itself on and off repeatedly. Please try a few trouble-shooting steps that may help solve the issue: 1) Check the power cable for damage and proper connection. 2) If the cable is bent, broken, kinked, pinched, pressed excessively (possibly by a heavy object on top of it) or damaged, this is likely the cause of the issue. Replace the cable. 3) Unplug the TV from the wall outlet for 30 seconds, and then plug it back in. 4) If the power cycling allows enough time in between powering on and off, try updating the TV to the latest firmware. There is a risk, however. If the TV turns off during the software update, it could damage the TV. Updates can take up to 30 minutes depending on network speed, so if the TV is not turning off too frequently, try updating the software. 5) TVs which can connect to SmartThings can be turned on using compatible devices, sometimes automatically. However, if abnormal "power on" signals are sent through the wireless network, they will trigger this function and make the TV turn on. If you do not want this function, navigate to Settings > General > Network > Expert Settings > Power On with Mobile, and turn the setting off. If the issue persists after these steps, then the TV will need service. Great features, picture, and good for extra TV

Great deal on our second Samsung television. We have always just had one television in our home but we couldn't pass up this deal with points I had saved up. Our oldest moved out and now her old room is a combination guest room/speed bike room. We use the JRNY app and I thought what a great way to cycle while riding in different countries and showing my JRNY ride on the television. So far, so good! Picture is great for what we want it for and when I don't want to watch sports when my husband is watching on the 75" Samsung QLED, I can move myself into the spare room.

Nice Picture Quality!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I have been wanting a new Smart TV for my bedroom so I can enjoy Netflix up there and also hoping to get rid of my cable bill. The TV was very easy to set up. I currently still have my cable and I was actually surprised the TV remote will control my cable box and I didn't have to do anything special to set it up. I love all the options with this and was surprised with the Samsung TV channels too. There's quite a few I enjoy watching. Another feature I like is that it auto adjusts to the lighting in the room so when I turn the light off at night, it adjusts to compensate for the light being off. The remote has all the necessary buttons on it I need to operate it. The only thing I wished it had that it doesn't is a backlight button so I can tell which buttons are which in the dark. I think I got spoiled with that feature on my cable remote. The colors on all the channels is crisp and clear. The sound is good and never has sounded muffled and is always crisp. I am considering purchasing another one for my spare room because it really is a nice quality TV for the cost.

Good tv beside this short life it has.

This model of tv must have defects built into it. This is the second TU7000 we had, each one only lasted two years almost to the day. Both time it was the main panel. We are waiting for yet another tv replacement. It gets costly with the travel time and cost of replacing this television. Once was bad enough but twice in four years, come on Samsung you need better model.

Nice features, dark picture.

This Is a pretty good tv. At times the picture seems a bit dark even with the brightness all the way up. There are so many advanced adjustments available for the picture I have no idea where to start. Samsung. Please start to make the optimal picture settings available online. I should not have to pay an expert to calibrate my picture or buy a setup DVD. You guys have to know how to best adjust the picture and so I should be able to find all of those settings on your website.

Black screen of death.

This is my first bad Samsung TV. I've bought many Samsungs because I like the features they offer but recently I bought a 65” and this 70”, both tvs were lightly used but this on w died after 3 years. This comes as a surprise to me because this tv probably has less than 1k hours of on time. This tv is stuck at a black screen where it cycles on and off all day/ everyday unless i unplug it
