[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] We bought this TV a couple of months ago and our experience has been great so far. - The picture quality is amazing at 4K - It is compatible with the main streaming applications (Netflix, Amazon Prime, Hulu, HBO Max...etc). Also compatible with Airplay and Chrome Cast. - Sound quality is great - Comes with free Samsung TV subscription The only downside is that we have to hard reset the TV every now and then when it becomes a bit slow from having multiple applications open in the background

i purchased a 65" ru71000 4k uhd tv and washer around 3 years ago together. shortly after 1 year, both quit working. my tv went to a black screen with occasional flash of light. highly disappointed in you samsung. who has the money for your products that just lead to more money within such a short span of time?

If your TV has a black screen even when it's on, it's quite possible it could actually be your external device and not your TV. Please try these troubleshooting steps for your blank screen issue: 1. Press the Home button on the remote. If the menu appears, the TV is powered on but is either not on the correct source or not receiving a signal. If the menu does not appear, the TV may be having power issues. Check the red standby light, a little red light at the edge of the TV that you aim the remote at. In normal use, the red standby light is on when the TV is off (indicating the TV is on standby), and the red standby light is off when the TV is in use (or doesn't have power). 2. Confirm the TV is set to the same source as the external device. For instance, if your cable box is connected to HDMI 1, set the TV source to HDMI 1. If the TV is set to the correct source, but there is still no image, unplug and reconnect the AV connections one cable at a time from both ends of each cable. If there's any damage to the cable, it will need to be replaced. After you've reconnected the external device, turn it off and then back on. 3. Test the HDMI cable. Some TVs have an HDMI cable test. Some models only have this test after a software update, and older models do not have it. If your model does not have this test, or is not connected by HDMI, skip to the next step. The test is designed for HDMI cords less than 6 feet long and may not give accurate results on long cords. To perform the test, make sure the TV's source is still on the HDMI setting for the cable you want to test, and then navigate to Settings > Support > Self Diagnosis > Signal Information > HDMI Cable Test > Start Test. If the test says, the cable is bad, replace the cable. Service is not required. 4. Test different external devices. The final thing to rule out is the external device you're using. Try connecting to a different device or using a different source port. If you were unable to test the cable in the previous step, then try swapping the cable, too. If the TV can display a picture in any other setup, then you've ruled the TV out as the cause of the issue. Keep trying various setups until you identify the device or cable that is not working and troubleshoot or replace it. If your issue persists, please give us a call so we can troubleshoot with you. What a great TV to own!
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] When I saw this on display, I had to have it. The picture is so crisp and clear it's as if I was looking through a window. It was so easy to set up right out of the box. This TV will not disappoint. Blacks are black and the picture is very sharp. A great buy!
This is a great TV with good features
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] We have really enjoyed our 65 inch Samsung TV. This was a big upgrade for us and we love the apps installed on the TV. It has good picture quality but could be a little brighter at times. Overall it was a great buy.
Mirroring Doest Always Work, Sluggish Navigation
It's a beautiful TV when it works HOWEVER, i would say half of the time when I try to airplay or mirror to the TV, it won't work. Whether it's airplaying my iphone's or macbook's home screen, or airplaying through the youtube app, apple music app, spotify app.. etc. Sometimes it works and sometimes it doesn't. For this I tried restoring the TV to factory settings, deleting my wifi network and setting up at again, and even having my wifi provider reset my router, nothing worked. Recently I tried downloading an app onto the tv, I press install, and the status bar doesn't fill up, then the "installing" button turns into "install", again - app not downloaded. One time, I turned the TV one and the resolution was all messed up, with green patches replacing shades in whatever's playing. That i fixed through a TV factory restore, but still an inconvenience nevertheless. Finally, navigating with the arrow keys through the apps on the TV is SO SLOW, like there is a lag, so sometimes you end up pressing the same button twice thinking it didn't pick up the first command then the the selection suddenly jumps 2 spaces and just so not smooth. in summary, so many different issues were present in this TV since day 1, and it's not cheap, so I wouldn't recommend this.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I first purchased the Samsung Crystal UHD 70” last year. It's such a great tv, I bought a 55” for my bedroom! It works seamlessly with all of my other devices (Apple included) Apps are easy to download. Comes with Apple TV already installed. It has a sleek design, lightweight, easy to clean (with proper screen cleaner) and the picture and sound quality is amazing. My son is about to purchase one for himself. Would definitely recommend!
Easy set up Easy to use
(This review was collected as part of a promotion.) I bought this tv about 2 months ago. I've been getting happier with it by the week….until yesterday. I started getting black lines and flashes inwards from the edge of the screen. I'll keep you posted on how this progresses, but this is my reason for dropping to 3 star from what was going to be 5 star. I love the picture, great remote, easy easy easy to use, set up and get going. But I'm very leery now. Signs of early failure. Bummer. Too bad. It's a nice tv.

Unhappy with this purchase
the television arrived with one hd port not functioning. the sound system has to be turned to 46-59 to hear. my previous samsung volume was 9-15. can't see when a movie in in a evening scene. went to adjust brightness it was already at the brightest setting. tried different modes and that does not help. only had this television since february and the one hd port working has failed 4 times. i get it working by unplugging and plugging the cord back in. having been a faithful owner of the samsung brand for many many years this experience has changed my mind.

2020 TV?
i bought this tv as a replacement for my 60in vizio from 2016. the vizio still works great, but i wanted a 4k tv with a better refresh rate. with my vizio i could cast any streaming app from my phone to it...from netflix to crunchyroll, but with my newer samsung i can only cast netflix and youtube music. amazon prime, hulu, discovery+, while they're on smarthub, the tv will not show up on the cast menu. after 3 hours texting and talking to customer support from parts unknown, the conclusion they finally gave me...after 3 disconnects...was that well, those apps just don't support the model of tv. they don't what?! ok, cool, awesome...so the tv itself is pretty good, screen is clear and vivid, looks great. smarthub has ads...blah. wish i could take it back.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] My wife and I have been shopping for a 70"-75" TV for our living room for a while, but after comparing multiple models and qualities we decided to go with Samsung. Frankly, I wasn't a big fan of Samsung before, but after checking out all the reviews online, and physically watching it at a shop, my wife and I are both convinced of its quality and design. Also, we love the price tag of the model we got. It's an easy setup and it incorporates with Samsung remote app.
