Customer reviews for SAMSUNG 43" Class TU700D-Series Crystal Ultra HD 4K Smart TV UN43TU700DFXZA forWay better than my expectation!!!!
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] We got this Crystal UHD TV at an amazing price and guess what! This one is way beyond our expectations! With full width of 65" now we are absolutely enjoying its clear view and we cannot live without it! Thanks!!
Frustating TV experience
the pros: the picture is clear, sound is nice. i like the samsung tv feature. the cons: the remote either disconnects from the tv or the tv freezes in certain apps. it is extremely frustrating. multiple times a week, we have to unplug the tv, remove the batteries from the remote, repair the remote or simply just choose not to watch tv until it become responsive again. there is never a surefire fix - the tv just stops working. you can power it on and off and that's it. also, a minor complaint, the remote isn't backlit, so you can't easily use it in the dark. i wouldn't recommend this tv.
Great tv
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I bought this tv for my husband so he could have a better tv for football. He loves it and I love it for all my shows as well! Such great quality. Will definitely be buying our daughter one for her room as well just not as large.
55" Class TU700D Crystal UHD 4K Smart TV (2020)
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] 55" Class TU700D Crystal Smart TV is a great upgrade from my old TV in size, picture quality, sound, and smart options. Remote functions are great and syncing to phone and internet was super easy. I would recommend this TV to a friend.
Great TV overall
i really like this tv. the picture quality is great. its sturdy (but also a bit heavy) and my kitty cant push it off its stand. i love the built in streaming, but was disappointed that some of my favorite apps (crunchyroll in particular) werent on the store to download. i can use apple airplay to cast to the tv so that makes things easier. the tv is also lacking a sleep timer and i use those alot since i like background noise when i fall asleep. the best it can do is an auto-off timer with a minimum of 4 hours. those are easily forgotten though, when i play my switch on this lovely screen
Overall Good Product
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Clear picture, great screen size for details and reading the guide, and nice selection of handy channels and apps. I love that this TV provides me with a tv guide not only for my antenna tv programs but also for the Smart TV channels. A quick press of a button for apps like Netflix, Hulu, Prime, Tubi, etc. I appreciate the thoughtfulness that went into this TV. Such as when I press the remote to turn the TV off, the pictures closes and the sound lowers to off. The remote has numbers, a tv guide button, and a back button along with many other features. I suggest the remote have a backlight for use during the night or while watching a movie in the dark.
Sound is low and picture quality could be better
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Not enough connections compared to old lcd tv. Sound is lower than old lcd tv. TV gets a bad glare if sun shines through window or if you turn a light on. Disney plus downloaded and the picture is extremely dark to any other app. Works great if you use a laptop to stream Disney plus and connect to tv. Other than that the tv is good. Only other thing I dont like about it is it tries to turn other devices on that are hooked up to it by itself.
Heavytech: Thank you for purchasing the TU7000 TV and for your review. Your thoughts regarding the number of connections & sound compared to your older TV is important to us and will be shared with our internal teams. I am very sorry to hear that your apps are not working properly. Please check your network connection. When the network speed is slow, the app may not work, or its image quality may be poor. If you have an app that is freezing, not loading, or crashing, you can try cold booting your TV, updating your TV's software, deleting and downloading the app again, and a completing full reset of Smart Hub to correct the issue with the app. If other devices are turning on, your TV may be sending a CEC command to turn the last HDMI source on. You can disable the CEC by going to Settings > General > External Device Manager > Anynet+ (HDMI-CEC) = off I hope this helps to solve your concerns. This was a nice upgrade, but...
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] My TV that was almost fifteen years old was compatible with Alexa through my Firestick, and I thought this TV would be compatible automatically with Alexa without the Firestick since it is a much newer smart TV. It is almost unnecessary to have the Firestick connected, since this TV includes apps such as Netflix, Hulu, and others that can be downloaded from the app store. However, the app store for this TV does not include the Alexa app that troubleshooting sites have recommended for pairing your Alexa voice control device. The remote does not have a voice control feature either. I wish there was a way to adjust the bottom legs that hold the TV upright as well, because if they were flat, my TV would be able to fit where the old TV fit. We measured before purchasing the TV to ensure it would fit in this space, but nothing was there to warn buyers of the added inches from the legs if you are not mounting this TV to a wall. Overall for the price paid and year of the TV, I expected more features. It is a larger display that is more clear than our last model which is nice.
Not bad for the price, but no Hulu App
the image quality is good for the price. the overall experience is good. but we mostly use streaming services. i had a 42" samsung before, that didn't have the hulu app available. we bough this one because it had the app logo in the box, instead of other brand of similar quality and price. for our surprise, it had almost all the apps we use, except hulu. we have the app on our phones and tables and we can stream it to the tv, but the whole idea on buying this tv was not having to do that. other than that, i wish it had some analog connection for dvd players and audio receivers. it only has 2 hdmi and one audio (optical) 1 usb port and one lan port.
Javier: Thank you for your review of the TU7000 TV. I am very sorry to hear that you are not able to find the Hulu app. First, please make sure you are running the latest firmware version (ver 1401.7) Software updates are regularly released for Samsung products. If possible, you should always update to the latest version to make sure that your device is the best it can possibly be. You can check to see what software version your TV is using and if there is an available update through the settings on your TV. Go to Settings>Support>Software Update Both the current version and new version number will be displayed. The current version is what your TV is using and the new version is the latest update. New updates will be downloaded and installed on your TV. Updates usually take a few minutes; please do not turn off the TV until the update is complete. When the update is finished, the TV will restart automatically. If there aren't any new updates, select OK to exit. You may want to enable automatic updates for convenience by selecting > Auto Update. If your app is not available on the home screen, you can search for it and install it. - Press Home, then select the Apps icon - Navigate to the top and select the Search icon (magnifying glass) - Type Hulu in the search bar and install the app Note: You may need to cold reboot the TV for Hulu to load this version (5.3.262) To cold reboot the TV: While the TV is on, press and hold the power button on the remote until the TV turns off and then back on. Release the power button. I hope this helps. Interface Could be Better
i love the picture since that was the mail reason purchased the tv. the only issue is the interface it lags, i had to search for the apps i wanted, was unable to remove apps the tv came with enough though i wasn't going to use them. our 1st tv was a roku which was very easy to use compared to samsung they just had a terrible picture.
