Picture Too Dark - can't fix it

this tv has a clear picture and it was a good bargain (provided this issue is fixed). however, watching dark scenes in movies is impossible. i've tried everything from increasing the brightness and turning off the ambient light and eco-controls to following a youtube video about increasing some of the pulse wave modulation controls (that helped a little). the tv feels like it is trying to control every aspect of the environment which it obviously cannot do. this was my first samsung purchase after a sony; i'm pretty disappointed. other minor inconveniences - a remote that is not very intuitive, cludgy app downloading & features that sometimes don't work for whatever reason. this tv is either not quite ready yet or is just being dumped on consumers.

alieannie: Thank you for purchasing the Samsung TU7000 and for your review. I am very sorry you are viewing scenes that appear too dark. Samsung is aware of the problem, and a new firmware update will be released soon to address this issue. Using your TV's remote, navigate to Settings, and select Support. Select Software Update, and then select Update Now. New updates will be downloaded and installed on your TV. Updates usually take a few minutes; please do not turn off the TV until the update is complete. When the update is finished, the TV will restart automatically. If there aren't any new updates, select OK to exit. You may want to enable automatic updates for conveniences. Select Settings > Support > Software Update, then select Auto Update. To update your software using USB, please check for the latest version on the Samsung website. Perfect for Gaming!

I've always been a Samsung fan because they deliver consistent performance. 2nd TV I've bought in this line and I have not regretted either purchase.

Replacement Tv

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Tv was a replacement for a 65 inch tv from somebody else. This newer tv works well. It works with the Dish Network receiver. It also works well with streaming applications like Amazon, Hulu, Paramount, and Vudu. I would have loved to replace the prior 65 inch with another 65 inch but did not think it would fit in my vehicle. I wish it had google tv but I have not really found any applications that I want that will not install to the tv.

Love the picture

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Watch all my favorite movies crystal clear picture feels like I'm in the theater with a better quality picture and sound using my samsung surround sound woot woot. Best TV for gaming I've ever owned or seen hands down. Really caotures the quality of the games makes it so realistic. Ill be playing for hours not even realizing it coukd stare at that beautiful screen all day if i could lol.

This product is overall amazing.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This product is easy to use; I really like it. The only negative thing is that it will occasionally flash when bright light is in a show, however this can be mostly fixed by changing the picture settings.

Easy set-up and streaming from devices

This tv is awesome, I had a 55 inch curved Samsung TV for the last 5 years, and the software upgrade alone on this one is 10 times better. It's so easy just to swap from your tablet or phone to the TV back and forth for watching and streaming. The menu set up is pretty straightforward and the Wi-Fi is strong. Coupled with a Samsung sound bar it's awesome! Thank you

Awesome TV

And, the integration with Samsung SmartThings is very useful when the remote goes missing. This was one of the best purchases I've made in a long time!

Has nice pictures and nice features

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Big screen I like how it integrated with Google home so you can turn the TV off and on with Google and when you turn your game system on it automatically goes to the hdmi screen that the system is on and when you turn your game system off it goes back to what you were watching

OK Tv Poor Support

I've owned many Samsung Products throughout the years and most of them are still function too this day with no problems. This TV became defective after only a few months of use. Warranty could not fix the problem. Samsung's only recourse was that I would be without use of a TV for 6 to 8 weeks.
