I have used the multicast unscented litter for years. I enjoyed the ease in which cleaning the litter box occurred as well as the lack of extra fragrance. The new simply unscented formula is made with. Low dust component that is flawed. The litter gets so hard that I often spend five minutes scraping the bottom of the litter box to get the rock hard clumps to detach from the litter box. The odor elimination is just as functional as the old formula but the low dust feature doubles the litter scooping time and adds difficulty to the process.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I bought the Ultra unscented for my cat and I am experiencing a very dusty room where the litter box sits. The box says low dust but it is not. My neighbor uses the Simply Unscented for his cat and swears he has no dust plumes while scooping. Then when I took care of his cat while he was on vacation, I saw for myself that the Simply Unscented had no dust plumes. I am switching to this! I do not know the difference between the Ultra and the Simply but clearly there is a difference in the amount of dust while scooping.

I was happy when I found Freshstep- Ultra Unscented Litter, because I like Freshstep litter but I don't like scented litter. I feel that cats prefer unscented litter as do I. I also like Freshstep Unscented Litter because it clumps well, and I love that it is low dust.

I have used this for many years and with several cats. Although it is heavy in the 20 lb box to get into the house, its worth it. It clumps well, there is no scent, and cats seem to prefer it over the lighter weight litters. Definitely recommended by my vet who states we should use the unscented litter as well.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] i have 4 birds in my home and never use anything with scented fragrances due to the toxicity it can cause to my birds. i also have 3 cats who are very fussy abut their litter boxes. i fin as long as you keep the litter boxes cleaned and maintained you don't need any extra added fragrance from fabreze when you use the ultra unscented fresh step. it absorbs urine quickly and once the doodies are covered by the cats there is virtually no odor. it very easy to scoop out the used litter and doodies as long as you use a strong scooper to remove waste as they can sometimes become quite heavy. oldest male cat is 21 and on prozac due to litter box issues and has no problem using the unscented fresh step. would highly recommend this litter to anyone who lao has oder pets in the house other than cats. also fabreze makes me sneeze

The new simply unscented litter is terrible. It does not clump well and is very dusty when pouring it into the litter box. I have been using simply unscented for a number and am very disappointed in the new formula. I will be shopping for a new brand.

I've used this litter for a household of kitties and I can attest to the fact that this is the best litter available without Febreeze. I have to keep a clean smelling home and I would recommend this to everyone! We've tried other litters from other companies, but this by far is the best for sensitive cats and we even have one with cancer--So minimizing the chemicals in our household is important to us.

I cannot stand litters with a fragrance in them. I tried tidy cats, but even the ones with no fragrance added had really strong smells to them that you instantly noticed when you walked in a room. So after a lot of research I thought that I would try the Ultra Unscented. It is very much unscented and seems to get the job done well. Sometimes clumps break down really easily, but that usually around 3 weeks when it needs to be changed. It also seems to be low tracking which is nice. I just wish that the packaging was more durable. I usually end up buying ones that have small rips in them so I have to carefully inspect the packaging now. Overall, I would definitely recommend this litter, especially for those that do not like the fragrance-based litters.

My ignorant cat sitter failed to clean the box for two weeks once. Came home to a solid mass and but no smell! I was appalled at the state of the box, amazed at the lack of smell! Cannot rate this high enough.
