I work in a restaurant and someone had slammed the door so hard on the old microwave that we couldn't get it open. I found this one for a reasonable price and got it installed super quickly!!!! Then when we used it for the first time I was kinda glad the other got broken.... LOL this microwave works like a dream it's easy to use and doesn't take very long to get your food the temperature that you want!!!!

This microwave has all of the features I need, which is wonderful, it is too bad that the controls are dark dark gray on black so I can't see all of the wonderful controls to use them. I have to keep a flashlight by the microwave in order to use it to read the control buttons for reheating or cooking anything.

I am very happy with my GE microwave. I bought this microwave to replace a 15+ year old one. This new one is smaller, quieter, and it has the same interior size. There maybe a few less buttons and the wattage maybe lightly less but this one provides the options I need.

Great affordable microwave that works well, but was just disappointed in the packaging. Came with a little yellow sticker on it. Took me 5 minutes to remove it because it wouldn't come off in one piece. Ended up scraping off some of the protective material over one of the buttons as a result. Still works fine, but annoying that happened right after opening the box.

This is a good looking mw oven that’s replacing another GE that lasted 20 years. I don’t expect the same durability on this one. I would’ve given it 5 stars except for the fact that it works with ounces instead of lbs. for the “weight defrost” function. I had to have a conversion table printed from the internet to have it handy each time which is one of my major uses for this appliance. Another minus was the fact that it doesn’t come with a user’s manual. Again, I had to print it from the website. Other than that, if it lasts me for at least 5 years, I’ll be a happy camper.

Half the frustration with this GE Microvoe is opening this microwave to get it ready. Getting all the protective covers off is not really an issue, but there is a smaller rectangular sticker over the touch pad area (and the touchpad is a soft plastic) that refuses to come off. Don't use a razor blade because it will cut into and gouge the soft plastic, and other chemical removers don't seem to work. As a result, what little you can get off still leaves the bottom layer of the sticker and it looks horrible. Additionally, this microwave has an automatic lock feature which becomes frustrating to unlock. Like any Microwave, you have to get accustomed to a new way of doing things. So you have to get reacquainted with this smaller model. We're getting a new kitchen and our gourmet frigidaire wall mounted microwave is being removed, and in its place will be a commercial quality vent motor with designer cover. This leaves us with this smaller GE microwave that will be used on top of a counter. The positive is that it's a very quiet microwave, and you have to look to see that it's actually working, which is a good thing. All in all, between the removal of all the stickers and coverings - not to mention, this microwave is not intuitive, we can only give it 3 stars. But hey, it didn't cost an arm and a leg, so we'll make do with it.

Bought this to replace another GE microwave that finally passed on to the 'ether'. Very pleased with the overall appearance, but not quite as happy with the lower power level (950 watts vs 1100 watts for the original), but my biggest 'gripe' is that the controls are almost impossible to see without a flashlight. Would be most beneficial if those controls were either backlit, or somehow more visible. Makes this new product very difficult to use in a 'low-light' area. Microwave itself work fine, but not being able to see the controls in a low-light environment is a huge 'negative' compared to my old model.

Extremely loud when on. I noticed in some reviews AFTER i purchased the 2nd one, this was common. This is the 2nd one in 7 months, thought I would give it another try. The first one had the back wall paint peel off,but was quiet. If this one has paint peel, I'm done with GE.

I am renovating my kitchen and replacing the over the range microwave with a wall mounted range hood. I wanted a more compact microwave for on the counter and this one is perfect. Looks great, works very well and is much more functional than the huge one that was above the range. Just what I needed for the right price. I have been replacing my older appliances with new GE models and after a new range, washer and dryer and now a microwave I am very pleased.

Disappointed in the readability of the touch control panel display. The numbers and lettering are dim and hard to read. The smooth surface reflects the countertop and you have to get close to the panel to properly read the buttons. Does not have a backlight. This unit replaced a GE microwave "Spacemaker" which we had for about 20 years. The numbers on it were much easier to read and stood out.
