I purchased the GE 1.1 cu. ft. Capacity Countertop Microwave, item %23 990357355, on Jan 16, 2026. I would have given it 4 stars (subtracting 1 star from 5 because it shows fingerprints so badly) but the cracked start and time cook buttons are deal breakers. The start button is already so badly cracked from normal household usage that a small hole has developed. Today, I noticed that the time cook button is beginning to crack. I'll be returning it to Sam's Club as soon as a replacement microwave (different brand) is delivered. Due to the issue with the cracked keypad, I don't recommend this microwave.

Difficult to rate since it wasn't used. When I took the microwave out of the box, I was shocked and disappointed to see that the top and sides are blue, not stainless steel as indicated in the specifications. So I put it back in the box and returned it.

Great microwave. I like the minute quick start feature. Hit 2 for 2 min, and hit start. Great value in today's economy. Just remember to remove all the stickers and protective plastic outside of the microwave and 1 sticker inside (circle part where the plate sits).

I purchased this GE Microwave today and I am very pleased with the size. It fits perfectly with room to spare on both sides. Also, it’s very quiet and does a great job with cooking since we cooked some pasta according to the directions on usage and it turned out perfect!!! Definitely recommend this microwave to anyone looking to purchase one!

So far I am very impressed with this unit. It is a very nice looking oven, with basic, user friendly controls. The oven does allow you to turn off the child lock feature which is nice. It also allows you to use the timer and the microwave separately from what I can tell. Though I was a little worried about the 950 watts (my prior oven was 1100) this unit appears to cook every bit as fast as my old one! While I agree it wouldn't hurt my feelings to have backlit controls, I have to say I am very pleased with this purchase!

Our microwave of 10 years finally bit the dust. Ran to Sams Club and found this. First one we got had a large dent on the side even though the box showed no sign of being dropped. Quickly replaced it with another one. Wasn't a fan of the menu selection simplicity compared to our original Magic Chef microwave but I think I would of been able to get use to it. How ever the power level button did not work. Nothing happened when selecting it (it did work once on the first item I used but shouldn't of been so hot after it was done). Now it just plain doesn't even work. Tactical feel of the touchpad is poor and question how long it would last. Going to return the second one an by another non GE brand.

Bought today and sorry. I'll have to keep a flashlight next to the thing to read the menu. Years ago I had a microwave with the annoying trait with the cooking timer where it beeps until turned off by hand to announce that time is up. I can't believe this thing does the same thing.

My very old simple outdated microwave finally needed to be replaced so I purchased this available unit at my local Sams. Easy to purchase, I did curbside pickup :-). I like the size of it but was a little thrown off with the lock/unlock feature and had to try it multiple times before I could disable this feature. The interior is a good size, I use it mostly to warm up items so this will come in handy. The only thing that needs IMPROVEMENT is adding a backlight to the buttons on the control panels. Its white lettering (small) on black. Even with a light it's fairly hard to see. Other than that, decent for the price. **GE, PLEASE PUT A BACKLIGHT ON THE CONTROL PANEL!
