I received my mattress three weeks ago, and at first I was a little thrown off by how firm it is, and was worried I wasn't going to like it since I'm a side sleeper. However, it does take about a week or so to get used to the mattress. I believe the "extra firm" it has is a cushion they used since most mattresses will sooner or later lose that " perfect feeling" after a few years. I love this mattress, and so does my girlfriend who was really close to purchasing a mattress from Purple. I recently had a friend buy a purple mattress and it's not a bad mattress, but little too soft for my taste. Ghostbed is amazin! I would recommend it to anyone who's looking for top notch mattress for a great value. The pillows that came with my mattress are also amazing - the customer support for Ghostbed is by far the best I've spoken to in years. Thank you so much for this mattress! Bed and bed frame were packaged nicely. The mattress itself is of good quality. The mixed foam feel is definitely different than Temperpedic classic. It’s generally pleasurable, but I’m pushing 200 pounds, and it is still quite a bit too firm for me to side sleep without discomfort, which is a disappointment. If you are a side sleeper you really need to get a different brand or model, the classic is just too firm.

After sleeping on the same mattress for 20 years (also working with my doctor trying to figure out why my sleep hasn't been restful) I decided it was time to try something new. After much research online and talking with friends, I decided to give Ghostbed a try. Ever since I've been sleeping more deeply than I have in years. What's more my recovery time after physical exertion is becoming less and less as my body has more and more restful sleep on my Ghostbed. Probably my favorite thing though is as a combination sleeper I can go from my back to my stomach and from side-to-side, every position is comfy and provides excellent support, so much so that I no longer need to spend 10-15 minutes cracking my back and shoulders into place whenever I wake up. I just... wake up feeling good. If that's what you want for yourself, then you really should give the Ghostbed a try. What have you got to lose?

It's not uncomfortable, it's just not the vastly different experience memory foam mattresses are cracked up to be. Too firm, and doesn't give the cushy, hugging feeling they say memory foam will provide. Not the transformative experience I expected, certainly for over a thousand dollars.

I had my reservations about a boxed mattress -- mainly that sleeping on foam would feel too much like sinking into a marshmallow. Fortunately, the rating of 6.5-7 (out of a possible 10 for "very hard") accurately describes how the GhostBed feels once it has a chance to expand out of the box for a few days. I've always preferred a firmer, cooler mattress and this delivers! The edges have more "give" compared to my old coil spring mattress, and so I find myself with a little less sleeping real estate than before. Only had it for a month now but overall very happy, and hope it still feels this firm in three years.

So at first it was very hard to get used to this bed. After a month I am very very happy with my choice. If you are looking for a firm bed this is it! It was almost to firm for me at first but I'm very pleased with it now. After about a month on it i am in love. The pillows took some time to air out. They have a smell to it that was very strong at first but I'm happy with them once it died down a bit.

I bought a full mattress for my 17 YO daughter, who used to come sleep with me on my competitior bed. She loves it so much she doesn't come sleep with me anymore. We love how it stays like the cool side of the pillow all night. We take great naps on it too!

I've had the GhostBed queen mattress for 2 months now and I have to say it is a fantastic mattress. I've delt with lower back pain for about 10 years now from an injury and shoulder joint pain because I'm a side sleeper. I'm used to waking up with pain in either my back or shoulder everyday, but since I've owned the GhostBed I've not once woken up with pain. But I think my favorite thing from GhostBed are the pillows. Best pillows I've ever slept with! Thanks GhostBed for such a great mattress and pillows at an affordable price.

I have been waiting to write a review so I could give an honest opinion after a few months of use. I was hit by a drunk driver and had to have surgery on my back and have a lot of neck pain due to my accident, I want to disclose that info up front. I was really hoping that this mattress would give me the support that I need to be able to sleep through the night. However, that is not the case. My husband and I often move to the couch to get relief so we can sleep. This mattress isn't firm and we sink to the middle of the bed without meaning to. We are average weight so we aren't putting any extra weight on the mattress but it just doesn't support either of us. I thought maybe it was just me with my injuries and have given up on a restful nights sleep but my husband has zero injuries or health problems and he cannot sleep on this mattress. We REALLY wanted to like it but unfortunately we can't give a great review on it.

I've received two emails already asking for a review. Although I think it is a little too early to ask for considering we have only almost had the mattress for one month, here it goes. Within the first couple weeks of sleeping on the mattress, I hated it. I tossed and turned about twice as much as I used to on our old mattress. My husband hated how hot it made him feel, but we both wanted to give it more of a try. With our purchase came a few free Ghost brand pillows. I have always loved my pillow, which was a latex one with a bounce and a tendency to never to go flat, but I thought switching pillows might help. I have no idea why, but it actually helped me very much. I have slept much harder and longer through the night and I haven't had to use the pillow I had to put between my legs to help my spine align. I even feel comfortable sleeping on my stomach which was never comfortable before because it usually squished my chest. So far, my opinion of this bed has gone from a one star (if I would have been asked for a review within the first week) to a three star (since it has only been recently that sleep has gotten much better since switching pillows). My husband still feels indifferent to it because he is a hot natured man, and the bed seems like it hasn't solved that problem. I hope in another few weeks our opinions might change. One of the main reasons we decided on this bed was the 101 night sleep trial. We intend to take advantage of that offer if we feel the need to do so. But so far, it is better than our old mattress but not as great as I hoped it would be.
